Ostheim is located at the foot of the volcanic low mountains and Biosphere Reserve Rhön, in the 3-country corner of Bavaria, Hesse, Thuringia with wonderful hiking and excursion opportunities. The Rhön Star Park attracts with guided tours to the spectacular Star Tent.

Stay in the middle of a farm community in an old mill and enjoy the idyll and nature that surrounds us. There is a lot to discover on a tour: the old mill and fortifications, fields for growing vegetables, our small summer mill café (open on Sundays) and, last but not least, our flock of chickens. Our aim is to welcome guests with a dog as well as the ones without into a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The appartment is at the edge of Oberelsbach - ideally for hikes. Basic shopping is possible and there is a nice café, a gas station and a pharmacy. Hiking and Cycling trails start directly from the house. But also there are bus lines which opperate in different directions as well as right into the heart of the hiking area.
