In pretty village with 2 local pubs, dog friendly

JohannaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at Pott’s Cottage. It is a lovely property with everything that you need for a short (or long stay). The cottage is tucked away in a small village so it’s perfect for a peaceful break but it’s also only minutes from the A12. Christina was a great host - the wine and shortbread was much appreciated. We will be back. Thank you. ☺️

Drift Cottage

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We have just retuned from a lovely mini break at Drift cottage (10th-13th April) It is set in beautiful countryside and is a very peaceful retreat. We were fortunate enough to have glorious weather for the few days that we were there and took full advantage of the garden area to enjoy a BBQ (provided by the owners of the cottage) in the sunshine. Whilst there is an open fire within the cottage, it is an old building so can get a little chilly in the evening and so I’d recommend bringing a throw blanket or just warmer attire if you plan to stay in. Curious Retreats (who manage the property) gave out some helpful information about the surrounding area and some things to do, which was a nice touch. The cottage was clean and the beds very comfortable. It has everything you could need there, with an added bonus of a play room for the kids, which all 4 of our teenagers loved. All in all, we had a really relaxing few days away and I can highly recommend booking.

Obi’s Barn

We had a lovely short stay at Obi’s Barn while attending a wedding at Butley Priory, just a stone’s throw away. The barn felt like a home away from home, equipped with everything we needed and set in the stunning Suffolk countryside.

Woodbridge, The Old Post Office, Wickham Market

SilvanaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Old Post Office is a real gem - perfect for a couple. It is beautifully appointed with lots of character. It has a new shower room and kitchen with everything we need. Karen provides a very generous welcome basket - with eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea, juice and a bottle of Prosecco! We didn't have to worry about getting breakfast. Wickham Market itself is very picturesque with grocery shops open until late in the evening. It is a great base for Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and Southwold - which we visited. There are also two pubs nearby - The Greyhound and the Crown - both of which have an excellent restaurant. Karen is very helpful. We accidently left our cool bag in the house and she offered to post it back to us. All in all, we highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful cottage in coastal Suffolk village

BarrieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Caroline’s cottage was lovely and she was a very accommodating host. The place was well stocked with everything we needed and we arrived to fresh milk, flowers and home made flapjack! The location was peaceful, the cottage private, and the Ship Inn was a friendly pub three minutes away. I would definitely recommend.
