Having stayed in Carlinville many times this has been one of my favorite places. Beds were comfortable and generous. Bathrooms were nice and clean. The location was very convenient to the train station and the square, close enough that I could easily walk down and get coffee in the morning. It is on a relatively busy street (for Carlinville) and you can hear the train. This is not something that bothered me and I had no issues sleeping. Would definitely consider for the next time I'm in town.

This place is charming, comfortable, and was perfect for my overnight stay. Emma is responsive and friendly. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

We went out it to Sean’s place to celebrate my son’s 1st birthday with his brothers and cousins (6) total. As soon as we arrived they jumped right into the indoor pool which they loved. It’s a nice calm area to relax and get away from the busy life. The adults also had a great time we played ping pong, practiced our putting game, and got to unwind with all the kids in the movie room. Anytime I reached out to Sean he responded almost immediately. Overall we definitely book again

This tiny home was so cozy! it was peaceful and had lots of grass for our corgi to use the restroom. It’s conveniently located but also in a peaceful area. Not a lot of traffic on the road (we actually didn’t see any cars drive by). We would stay here again!

The kitchen features modern cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances, including a fridge, stove, and dishwasher. A dining table made of warm wood is positioned nearby. Marble countertops provide ample workspace, while natural light illuminates the area through a window.

Downtown Space

Tim and Jill are very committed to the development of the downtown Hillsboro area, and they are very friendly and not at all invasive in their shared space. While this is clearly a "value" location it is a great location for all the secret little treasures of Hillsboro, and at the same time it is private and quiet for a downtown area. When I can't stay with Tim and Jill because they are booked I still try to stay in the area, and utilize the workspace property they have downtown as well. I have lost count of how many times I have stayed with them, though there are upscale AirBNB locations near by, and I can afford them.
