Guesthouse vacation rentals in Rappahannock River

I stayed here visiting family nearby. The place is very clean and set up thoughtfully for guests. I really appreciated that it was already stocked with some coffee and creamers, so I didn't need to go shopping right after arriving. The neighborhood is small but walkable and has two good seafood restaurants a short walk away. Pam provided clear instructions and communication.

We spent two nights at David’s place and it was a wonderful place to come back to after a long hike. The cottage was clean and cozy, but the one of the highlights of our trip was watching the sunset on the patio. The property is spectacular! Also bonus points for the mini muffins! Thank you for a great stay!

Very beautiful Airbnb !!! Private and very quiet neighborhood , everything we needed was in the unit down to the Keurig pods , extra perk for the rice cooker and Instapot. The bed was spacious and very comfortable It was like being in our own oasis Lots of memorable moments and will always cherish our time there Check out as a breeze and will definitely come back again if we need another get away

I have to say this was our first Airbnb experiene but it was fantastic. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived which was great since in the past we haven't had great experiences with hotels including some rather expensive ones. The location is perfect for getting to a lot of different places within a 30 minute drive. If I had to say one negative it would be there are some spiderwebs on the ceiling and I did find one on the floor that jumped on me but we took care of that one, but it's to be expected when your kinda in the woods so I wasn't really worried. I did notice a little bit if black specs on the AC vents but we didn't have to really use it for our stay so it was okay. I felt like any issues or even questions we would have had they would have answered/fixed no problems. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip if it was available.

This place was our best choice even before we realized there would be a freshly-prepared, multi-course gourmet breakfast. House is as advertised, clean, and well-located. Scott and Lisa are friendly, responsive, and fantastic cooks. Enjoy!

The place was just as nice as last year's stay. Although I did notice right away the lovely flowers and plants around the yard. I love sitting outside in the early morning, reading and having my first cup of coffee. It was even better because the sun comes up right in front of the cottage, so I got the early morning before-it-gets-hot sun. And the weather was great. It was unfortunate that our favorite restaurant is currently closed (Pope's Tavern) due to new ownership. Hoping it is open next time and that the food is just as delicious. Be sure to visit the Oxford store for fresh baked croissants and pizza Friday. YUM!

Absolutely loved the carriage house, it was exactly what i expected and I’d 100% stay there again. The location was perfect and having a parking spot was so convenient. We didn’t cook or anything so i can’t review much on that but everything we would’ve needed was there if we had. Loved the security of the locked gate and the bed and linens were so so comfy, it was hard to get out of bed it was that comfortable. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m back in town.

We loved staying at this cozy cabin! It is set up very efficiently with consideration for guests' comfort and needs. The host is friendly, helpful, and responds quickly. Highly recommend!

This apartment was comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. It offered total privacy and was convenient to local restaurants and grocery stores. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and peaceful. Xavier was very responsive to my communications, but I didn't need to contact him very often. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at Scott and Christi's place. It's very peaceful and we appreciated how friendly and helpful they are. There are ducks, horses, and chickens on the property which you can appreciate from the screened-in porch while sipping your coffee. The drive to Charlottesville is relatively short and very scenic; the house is also close to many popular wineries. We also got some snacks upon our arrival! I appreciate the little ways Scott and Christi went the extra mile to make our stay an enjoyable one!

Alma’s place was fully renovated, beautiful finishes, gorgeous floors, super comfortable beds and impecable bathrooms. Kitchen was modern and had everything needed for cooking. Excellent location and walking distance grocery store. Alma was friendly and promptly answer all of our questions. She also allowed us to leave our luggage before check in time. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Chris Zarconi's Airbnb. We were in town for our son's graduation, and having this lovely place to come home to in-between events, was very comforting and peaceful. I enjoyed morning coffee listening to the birds outside the sliding door. The neighborhood was lovely and I was able to walk each morning. I would definitely come again should I need a place to stay in DC.

Great apartment for a couple of days in DC. The location is very walkable with cafes and restaurants nearby. Very easy to get to the mall by bus or metro. The parking lot is just across the street at a very reasonable price!

We enjoyed staying at Jocelyn's place. It was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. She was very responsive when we had a question. Would stay here again.

We loved our stay! The close proximity to the Metro was a huge selling point! Short walk to coffee and places to eat. We loved the character, cleanliness, and comfort of the place. Beds were cozy and we all slept great. Perfect for our family trip to visit the Capital!

Sarah was incredibly kind while we traveled with our young child, providing a baby gate and pack-n-play that made our lives a lot easier. The space is absolutely adorable and tastefully decorated! Extremely clean and cozy. Ideally situated to explore Union Hill and Churchill while still in a quiet setting. Highly recommend!

Christine was an outstanding host to me - and very responsive (and was very flexible). The air conditioning in my condo building is currently getting repaired. She permitted early check-in, which I really appreciated - and even gave me the opportunity for late checkout. The property has everything you need for an excellent stay - outstanding amenities (you pretty much not need anything when you stay here). I slept so well at their property. This property would be an excellent choice for those who wish to say long-term (like a month or more). You can tell that Christine cares about this property as it is maintained very well. Keep up the great work, Christine.

We had a perfect stay at the Freedom Cottage. It may have been our best Airbnb stay yet. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well thought out and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the history behind the cottage/land and the dining recommendations left in the coffee table book. The bed was incredibly comfortable which is rare when away from home. The location of the cottage was close in proximity to nearly all attractions we visited during our stay. Highly recommend Freedom Cottage to anyone visiting Williamsburg. Tara was a great host!

We had a great stay at Jeremy’s. It was the perfect place to relax after our busy days during our quick trip to DC. Super clean, everything needed to make meals, lots of extra touches that made the stay all that better. Highly recommend!!!

Very relaxing stay. Check-in with a code which is always very convenient. The bed was comfortable and the property was exactly as described. Sitting on the balcony and sipping coffee is a must. The apartment is also very close to Richmond and nearby battlefields. We highly recommend this space and would stay again.

We enjoyed the historic charm of the Carriage House and LOVED that we were on King Street within seconds. The parking garage was right down the alleyway - with a reasonable overnight rate. We were able to leave it there all weekend while we walked everywhere.

Sally’s place was a perfect ‘getaway’ to get some work and dissertation writing in. She was super nice to bring me an office chair, and her husband provided freshly baked cookies! My dog, Bagel, loved watching the wildlife out the window. The neighborhood is cute and peaceful but also close to anything you want to do or eat. The thoughtful touches and top-notch stock of kitchen items made my stay so enjoyable. I didn’t get to enjoy the backyard amenities but will be back for that and to explore more. Wonderful place and hosts, plus an adorable furry host!
