Simplicity and Tranquility

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Scottish Highlands If you’re looking for a truly peaceful escape, look no further than this magical retreat, nestled in the mountains of Scotland. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by breathtaking views — rolling hills, misty peaks, beautiful flowers and a lush green landscape that felt like stepping into a fairytale. One of the highlights was waking up each morning to the sound of birdsong and watching the funny wild sheep roaming freely — they have so much personality and always made me smile!!! There’s abundant wildlife all around, and I even spotted a fox and countless beautiful birds during my stay. The view from the deck is spectacular any direction you look, and the fireplace kept the cabin cozy. Whether you’re exploring the trails, enjoying a picnic by the water, or just sitting with a cup of tea taking in the view, you’ll feel completely at peace…simplicity and tranquility at its very best.

A stunning Perthshire rural retreat

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location with great views. Perfectly located for exploring the local area and for accessing some fantastic walking. The Cottage has been beautifully decorated, with some lovely touches to make you feel very welcome and at home. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need for self-catering. Jan was a very welcoming host with recommendations on the local area, and making sure all was well. We enjoyed The Cottage in beautiful sunshine and made the most of sitting in the garden, so didn't get a chance to use the log burner in the cosy lounge - another time!

Cottage with beautiful views

We were greeted warmly by Susan and Peter on our arrival and knew immediately that we had chosen the perfect cottage for our holiday. The cottage is very well equipped and there is an abundance of wildlife to see and the most beautiful scenery to enjoy. We explored the area on foot, in the car and on our bikes and returning to Kennel Cottage at the end of the day was blissful! The view from the cottage garden is breathtaking. Thank you to Susan and Peter for sharing this beautiful cottage. We hoped for tranquility and lots of wildlife and we weren’t disappointed. We saw more than we even hoped for. We would definitely stay again. Communication throughout was superb. Thank you so much!

Feagour Bothy, Highland Hideaway

We stayed Tuesday-Friday (3rd- 6th June)& had such an amazing time! The location is stunning- Surrounded by trees, and nature. Mountains to the front and side. The accommodation was perfect-cosy, clean and everything you could wish for. It’s a short walk to Pattack Falls, and just over an hours walk to the beach which was definitely worth it! The journey to it is stunning and once there it’s so beautiful! We also went to the Highland Outdoor Museum in Newtonmore. It was good fun and we had lunch there too. Lindsay was incredibly responsive- we had some Wi-Fi issues with a mast being down but was quite nice to be fully present! We took most of our food with us, and then used the Co-op in Newtonmore if we needed anything. We will def come back & would like to stay longer and explore a bit further afield. We made use of the porch that was lovely and we took some bird seed for the birds- so we recommend you take some too. Thank you Lindsay for allowing us to share your beautiful cabin ❤️

Seal Cabin - A wee piece of Scottish Luxury

JaneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The most wonderful cabin with such a majestic view of Loch Goil, absolutely breathtaking. We felt instantly relaxed the moment we arrived. Iain was a wonderful host, warm and helpful, and gave us some fantastic recommendations for special dinners at Wild Kabn and Inver, both unforgettable experiences. We walked every day, soaking in the scenery, and were lucky enough to spot seals swimming right in front of the cabin! The space is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, from the cosy blankets to the picture-perfect window views. Morning coffee overlooking the water felt like a scene from a film. A magical stay we won’t forget.

Beautiful spot with a view over the hills and down Strathtay. The pod is bright and airy in good weather but cosy with the doors slid shut and the curtains drawn when the rain is pattering down! Donna could not have been more friendly and helpful …… we felt very at home there!
