Monthly Rentals in Ragogna

Silvia went above and beyond to make our stay in San Daniele easy. We were staying for a wedding and realized we would miss the shuttle to the location 45mins away. She located a car/driver who met us at the airport, drove us to her place, waited for us to get dressed and then drove us to the wedding. On check out she let us leave our bags while we walked around and waited for our ride back to the train even though she had to turn around the place for a new guest. She was one of the best AirBNB hosts I’ve had!

Paolo picked us up and drove with us to show us the house, meaning that we received a very kind and personal history of the place over the last 75 years, which was an amazing experience to start us off. The location of the house is remote (30 min windy but good road), yet, absolutely stunning with beautiful views to the valley. This place is the best for all nature and history lovers. A perfectly renovated, spotless and comfy home up on the mountain with a forest reserve all around. The best were the vultures (Gänsegeier, griffoni). We expected to maybe see 2-3 but observed around 60 of them, how they circles for 2 hours down in the valley all the way above us and for up-close pictures only a few meters away. It is a complete private nature experience, with no-one else around, just wonderful. Then, using the BBQ or just hanging out with the views.

We really enjoyed staying in the house. It was secluded but near people, has a lovely flowing river across the road; lots of villages and forests and spectacular mountains nearby. Villa Cecone is worth visiting as are the caves. Bed is comfortable. We also loved Gelindo’s family restaurant about 25 mins away. Friendly and helpful staff and very good food and wine. We enjoyed our stay and Gelindo’s prompt response to our questions.

Very helpful and attentive host. Quiet place, family atmosphere, contact with nature and beautiful landscapes. Well-equipped accommodation, I just missed having cleaning products so that guests can keep the environment clean during their stay. My family and I love it and recommend it. There were 4 of us and it was very peaceful.
