Beautiful house, gorgeous and convenient location, excellent host. We had a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The house was beautiful and large enough for my family of 6. We enjoyed the hot tub with views of an icy lake. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and fresh. We went bowling and found great restaurants in nearby by Warwick. We would love to return soon!

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay at Mark’s. His house was beautifully situated right on Lake Mahopac with plenty to do in town and in the surrounding area. Everything was as described and met all of our needs. Mark was extremely accommodating with our length of stay (~ 6 weeks) and allowing us to bring our animals (2 dachshunds, 1 cat). Check-in was easy and upon arrival we were greeted with a gift basket and a binder with all sorts of info (emergency, food, fun activities). The backyard was beautiful, completely fenced in, and super convenient for the pups. When we had questions, all we had to do was send off a quick text and Mark responded in a timely manner. I can’t recommend Mark’s place enough!

We keep coming back to stay here because the house is so cool and has everything you could need! A great getaway outside of nyc anytime and we always recommend to others.

Cannot thank Stephen enough for taking care of us after a major mess up. We were able to get in and relax and enjoy. So grateful for all he did for us on a graduation weekend.

Beautiful location and a beautiful spacious apartment decorated very cozily with a creative and homey feel. Well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and bedding needs. Joan and Jim where a delight to deal with, with clear communication and a genuine appreciation and concern for our needs and satisfaction. coming from an extremely rural and isolated home life I found the industry along the river and area to be of minimal noise and distraction from the natural beauty of the area but suspect most people would barely notice it. The place even came equipped with binoculars witch I used regularly to bird watch into the woodland whilst sitting on the back deck. There are alot of stairs to deal with but it is completely worth the decent/climb to the beautiful locations they serve and the hot tub was always ready for us to use! All-in-all it was an immensely pleasurable stay and I would recommend this home to anyone that likes nature on your doorstep and shops/amenities close at hand.

The cabin was beautiful and well equipped! Plenty of towel and toiletries and a lovely kitchen (there was even coffee and spices on hand.)The star is the downstairs bar room - features a huge bar, complete with a wash sink, fridge and ice machine - just around the corner is a movie room with six actual movie seats, a great place for a film or to play some Nintendo!

David’s home is a gift! We have two young children and every detail of the home made for a perfect long weekend. The home was extremely clean with a wonderful layout. It was quiet and peaceful and beautiful. The highlight other than jumping in the pool and hot tub were the animals. We got to spend time with his two horses and many chickens which was sublime for all of us but especially my kids. David was immediately responsive and extremely kind and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

Suzanne was a fantastic host and the house was everything we expected…just as described and pictured! Extremely responsive, great communication and a perfect place for our long weekend getaway close to family! We will return!

Ellen’s place was beautiful and cozy. The kitchen worked perfectly and even though it was April it was still a bit chilly so the wood stove was a welcome amenity. The shower was great and there was a soaking tub. It was quiet and beautiful. We like all the art and it was very homey.

Gaby's place was perfect for our weeklong family stay in early June. The setting is beautiful and quiet with the croaks of frogs greeting us in the evening and song birds in the morning. The natural light, stunning views of the lake and hills, and the uniqueness of each of the rooms added to the feeling of being on retreat. The kitchen was stocked with every item we would stock in our own home making it a breeze to cook meals for the whole family. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and private. We loved hanging on the dock with our kids and paddling on the lake with the provided paddle boards and kayaks. Oh... and the sauna was an added treat. We were very appreciative of Gaby's hospitality and quick response to questions. We will recommend her place to friends and hope to stay again in the coming years.

Lara's place is a great spot if you want to visit Cold Spring. Super close to the train station and main street without the noise of the trains and food traffic. The place itself is super clean with a fully furnished kitchen is great for someone like me that sometimes have to make your own snacks. Moreover, it was great that we could bring our dog with us to enjoy the hikes around. A Perfect getaway from the city

We had a great one night stay during our weekend of hiking in the Beacon area. The place is easy to find and is in a very quiet neighborhood. The host was super nice and flexible. The kitchen is very well equipped. The following part is not a problem and did not change the five star review - just a service announcement for the next guest:-) Some Airbnbs have spices and oil for cooking and some don't. It's very random. This one has almost nothing so bring your own or get what you need at the nearby store. In terms of equipment, I haven't seen many kitchens that had such a variety. we'll definitely be back

The lake house was exactly as described and the pictures are spot on. In fact, it is more beautiful in person— we watched the sun set over the mountains every evening from the patio. Lots and lots of entertainment for kids as other reviews not and just a wonderful setting. We used the paddle boats and other amenities and had a great time. Rachael and Cameron were responsive, kind, and helpful. Could not recommend this place more.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay here. The place was cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor area was the true highlight — from the spacious patio to the beautifully maintained landscaping, the property felt peaceful and private. There’s also a pool that looked amazing, even though we couldn’t enjoy it due to the weather. We had some trouble during check-in after a delayed flight and arrived around midnight, but the property owners were just a phone call away and quickly helped us get settled, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind.

We were absolutely charmed by this stunning house, surrounded by breathtaking nature and offering incredible views—especially over the lake. Every corner is filled with character and warmth, making it feel like a true hidden gem. A huge thank-you to our wonderful host Sandy, who was incredibly thoughtful and proactive throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll be back without a doubt!

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

This place really is a gem. The bedroom and bathroom and spacious and have everything you need. The kitchen is small and can be challenging to work in, but the outdoor grill and dining space make up for that. We spent most of our time outside by the private pool relaxing. James and Margie were great hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and were so friendly and warm. They even brought fresh-bakes cookies. We had a great time!

Some exceptional aspects of the home- the beautiful drive from New York to the home, the wonderful physical location, the peaceful and quiet surroundings, the modern architecture, elegant and well-appointed furniture, very comfortable beds and linens, beautiful outdoor spaces, pristine swimming pool, complete chef’s kitchen, excellent internet speed, clean bathrooms with good water pressure, spectacular views and sunsets, and most of all the kindness, warmth, generosity and responsiveness of the hosts.

Dan and Andrew were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. The location was beautiful and the views were amazing. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need; towels, bedsheets, blankets cookware, a bunch of basic food necessities & more. The pool was refreshing after laying in the sun and watching the sunset from the pool is truly a must when visiting this home. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend to others looking for a gorgeous getaway home.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home for the holidays! The house is spacious and immaculately decorated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel warm and inviting. The layout was perfect for hosting our family gatherings, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze, and the cozy living areas were ideal for relaxing.. The quiet suburban setting offered a peaceful retreat, while still being close to everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting holiday memories. Kathleens place was perfect for our friends and family weekend vacation upstate. The house and property was absolutely stunning and fit our group of 10 so comfortably. We were talking about our next stay there before we even left. Highly recommend!
