House vacation rentals in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Our family (kids 3, 5, and 13) had an amazing time at Casa Neen! Eric is an excellent host and helpful with everything we needed. He has staff that is also available for things like having a private chef, laundry and cleaning if necessary. The home is comfortable and beautiful. The walk to the beach is very short and safe. We loved this particular beach because it was quiet and natural. We also enjoyed driving 10 minutes away to Playa Cocles to rent surf boards. Anywhere we wanted to go was convenient and quick to get to. Highlights of our trip was the kayak tour with Eric at Iki Tours, chocolate plantation tour with Daniel, surfing at Playa Cocles, breakfast on the beach at Iriria (get the croissants!), dinner on the beach at Beach break bar (homemade tagliatelle was delicious!), and just swimming in the pool every afternoon. Can’t wait to return!

Wow!! What a spectacular and beautiful home and experience. Agatha was the loveliest host with a beautiful home that she designed herself. The love and care she put into every aspect of this home and experience is 5 star. The views are jaw dropping and the time in the the infinity pool was epic. The home was spotless and very comfortable with an exceptional design. I cannot recommend this home enough! I would say it is probably one of the top homes in the area. Villa Julio was great. The property managers with Rise were very helpful and friendly. Especially Fabian, who greeted us on arrival. We had a wonderful time spotting wildlife from the deck every day. We saw and heard howler monkeys every day, spotted an iguana in the tree, as well as a sloth. We rented bikes for our time there and were able to get wherever we needed to go.

The villa was stunning! It felt like vacation from the moment we arrived. The beds were comfy, it had a lot of space and was very nicely designed. However, a few simple and small things could make this place even more special. And I think it's a bit sad that the owner hasn't reacted to the feedbacks of other travelers yet (e.g. the fact that the kitchen is missing a few things, which could easily be solved). But overall I would totally recommend staying here and would definitely book again!

We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! It was so peaceful and quiet. It was really nice and clean just as described. The restroom and shower were really spacious. Everything was amazing! we even spotted some monkeys and sloths outside. Itisha was so nice and always responsive :)

We are a family from Costa Rica and we truly enjoyed our stay at this house. It looks exactly like the pictures—spacious, bright, and with a beautiful pool. The location is perfect, close to everything you need in Puerto Viejo such as restaurants, supermarkets, and more. You can even walk around without needing a car. The host’s attention before, during, and after our stay was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

I loved this accommodation, it's the same as the photos, super clean, I managed to see a sloth from inside the property, surrounded by nature, the best accommodation I've booked, thanks to the host. I hope to be back

This beautiful home is located in the jungle and is an absolute masterpiece of a property. Seeing monkeys in the yard that you’re staying at was a really cool experience. The host was so helpful with recommendations on the way in and on the way out of town. Our car even broke down and he sent his assistant to be able to help us out. His assistant was able to get the car started and they refused to take any money from us. Beautiful house from beautiful people. So grateful.

We had such an amazing time at Sarah’s place! Very serene and less than 3 minute walk to the beach. There is so much to do in this area and rides to town are easy to coordinate with Banana Azul hotel just down the street (or you can rent bikes or drive). The Banana Azul hotel also has a great restaurant right on the beach. The bedroom villa has a wall air conditioner and fan above the bed, so it was very cool at night. It was so amazing to wake up to the monkeys and toucans every morning. Sarah also helped to arrange massages and an incredible meal by Chef David. I can’t say enough good things about our stay we’ll definitely be back.

Me and my guests loved staying in this jungle oasis! Prior to arriving, Toni was very thorough about what the property was like and kept in contact with us from the moment we landed at the airport to the time we arrived at the gates of the property. He guided us along a beautiful jungle trail and gave us a detailed tour of the house. He followed up with suggestions about local restaurants and places to experience while in Puerto Viejo/Punta Uva. Toni was amazing up to the end of our trip where he met us at the front gates to wish us farewell. This house is surrounded by the jungle and its beautiful treasures. We saw a sloth on the first day from our balcony and as bird + animal lovers, we could not get enough of all of the sounds and sights. The howler monkeys were the most perfect alarm clock to rise to and watch the sunrise. We would be back in a heartbeat!

Daniel welcomed us with great kindness. He gave us a quick and complete tour of the accommodation and then left us to settle in quietly. The accommodation is beautiful, very well positioned to contemplate the jungle and very private because of its height compared to their house. We loved the open kitchen (perfectly equipped) with a very nice covered terrace on which we loved eating facing the jungle. It was a permanent show, monkeys a few meters away, toucans, hummingbirds, and many other birds. The bathroom meets the expectations of those who want to cool off with space in the large walk-in shower. The little bonus is that Daniel is always available by messaging for info about the area. Her gallery is very beautiful and it was an opportunity to leave with some nice paintings as a souvenir. We'll be back without hesitation. Thanks, both of you.

I can not recommend Angel’s Villa (in the Villas of Punta Uva) enough. The home itself was beautiful, spotless, and comfortable. The house is situated in such a lush area that is beautifully landscaped and maintained. It is in a small community of 5 houses, but Angel’s Villa was very private and quiet, and so surrounded by foliage that you couldn’t really see it from the parking area. There was also a locked gate, so it felt very safe. Linh was very responsive to my many questions about the area and was helpful in suggesting activities, restaurants, etc. Both she and her husband were very friendly and made us feel right at home (her husband even went above and beyond, spending about an hour pulling my rental car out of a ditch😬). The area: Punta Uva Beach is a short five minute walk from the house. Puerto Viejo, the nearest town, is about 5 miles north. There, we found many boutiques/souvenir shops, and a plethora of amazing restaurants. This was a 10/10 find!!

Great place Great host!

We had a great time in this bungalow which will remain in our memories for a long time. We saw numerous animals and birds right from the veranda. The wide bed is very comfortable. We recommend this place to stay and commune with nature.

Just wow. What a beautifull house in the middle of the jungle nearby one of the best beach of the zone. So comforrtables that every room has his own bathroom. The view of the office for working makes you wanna live and stay there. Thank you so much for this space!

Our stay at Casa Balma was absolutely perfect. The location is ideal – just a 5 to 10-minute drive to everything: great surf spots, beautiful beaches, and the entrance to Cahuita National Park. Even just walking around the nearby streets, we spotted toucans, spider monkeys, and howler monkeys. And right in the yard, we were treated to the sight of stunning tropical birds – it truly felt like nature was all around us. The property is spotless and full of charm, with a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere that made it incredibly relaxing. What made our stay even more special were the hosts, Christine and Nicolas – they were more than perfect. Warm, generous, and always ready to help, they made us feel right at home from the very beginning. And we can’t forget Caipi, their sweet dog, who greeted us every day with endless joy and cuddles. Her cheerful presence added an extra layer of warmth to an already unforgettable experience. Casa Balma is a true hidden gem. We left with beautiful me

Casa Mona a beautiful secluded haven for couples set on the edge of the rainforest with a lovely cooling pool. Casa Mona is a beautifully appointed, clean, compact and modern open plan villa set in an incredible 'edge of the jungle' garden, which is secluded and accessed by a private gated entrance. Perfect for couples wishing to chill yet 15 minutes walk to the beach and the lively and energetic town of Puerto Viejo. The wonderful plunge pool was a welcome and cooling resource at the end of a hot day. We thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of the jungle each night. A perfect getaway place in a fabulous Caribbean coastal town with plenty of excellent restaurants and activities. The hosts were friendly and always available.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, this is hands down your best bet. It’s way better than a hotel, hostel, or even a typical Airbnb. This was my first time out of the country, and since it was also our honeymoon, I was nervous about planning everything. But from the start, David was incredibly communicative and thorough. When we arrived, he was so helpful and welcoming. He gave us tons of great recommendation places to eat, things to do and even offered to take us kayaking on a nearby river. When we told him about our love for coffee, he gave us a mason jar full of his own homemade coffee! Every time we came back to the Airbnb, he checked in with us to see how our day went and chatted with us about all our tourist adventures. The AC in the place works great, so no worries there! He also told us about the local weekly market, where he sells his coffee, we enjoyed more of his amazing coffee, and ended up buying six bags to take home. -Pura Vida!
