Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Progreso

Herman’s house on the beach in Chuburna is beautifully designed and thoroughly comfortable. I chose it based on reviews, its unique appearance, privacy and location away from touristy areas. Progreso, however, is 20 minutes away and offers a supermarket, restaurants etc. Having a car is highly recommended for those who want to visit points of interest in the Yucatán, such as the Mayan archeological site at Uxmal, the flamingoes in the Celestun biosphere. and various cenotes - all experiences well worth the drive. The Mayan museum in Mérida is also wonderful to visit. Herman’s onsite list was very good guidance for what not to miss. Thoroughly recommend this house. Linda

Honest review: it's fair to say it was a fantastic stay. Amazing sunsets. The hosts were very responsive both before and during the stay. The place is down a long and narrow dirt road but once you get to the home, it's true paradise. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out, and there is plenty of room for parking. This home is truly steps from the Gulf and there's ample patio space. I loved the thatched roof area with the table, which had lights for the evening. Wifi was strong. Things to keep in mind (some of which are out of the owner's control): having a rental car is a must, it's down a long road that is a fair walk from main road. Air conditioning is present in every bedroom, but not the main living space/kitchen, which can get warm in hot weather even with the large ceiling fans. There is not much beach in front of the home, and barely any in neighboring properties - it's not an area where you can go for long walks on the beach. Rent this place for a quiet beach vacation!

El alojamiento es muy bonito, es una casa prácticamente nueva, muy cómoda y con todas las comodidades.

The property is beautiful. It's great for a family vacation. It was obvious that it was professionally furnished and decorated. Attention was paid to every detail throughout the property. We were not too happy with the town as there was no real nightlife and the town seemed to be pretty impoverished. Thankfully the property was so inviting. We spent a lot of time at the house enjoying the amenities offered by the house. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The pool house was so nice. We had beach towels available to us. We had a couple of minor issues but they were addressed very quickly. While we were not impressed with Progreso. we were very pleased with the property. Excelente lugar para pasar unos días de descanso, la terraza es muy bonita y las habitaciones muy cómodas,

¡Esta casa es un sueño! Desde que abres la puerta y entras a la casa, te sorprende gratamente, e inicia la magia. Las fotos no hacen justicia, la casa y playa es mucho más hermosa. Los detalles extremadamente cuidados, la alberca y áreas comunes son exquisitas, las habitaciones son de lo más cómodas y bonitas, la playa es un lujo, puedes entrar, es súper calmada. Las amenidades bastante completas, te hacen disfrutar al máximo. La atención de José, siempre muy atento y rápido. Nos encantó a mi familia y a mí, sin duda la recomendamos ampliamente, y nosotros queremos regresar!

This is a 5 stars place no doubt! If we could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness we would as we found the house spotless on all fronts. Great communication for ease of check in and check out. Excellent for groups given the numerous seating areas that can accommodate 8-10 people all at once, outdoor as well as indoor. Accessing the ocean for a swim is swift although you have to cross over the concrete wall or step over sideways so maybe a little difficult for low-mobility individuals. Don't miss these raved about sunset swims tho! Would definitely come back!

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo aquí por estancias de más de una semana y siempre quedo fascinada por la tranquilidad que ofrece el espacio, los bellos paisajes y la zona muy segura para estar y salir a caminar, alejada del bullicio que ofrecen playas mucho más concurridas. Extiendo mis más amplia recomendación si desean pasar unos gratos y muy tranquilos días de descanso .

I loved this place, close to the beach, the apartments was very clean and well stocked kitchen, 20-25 min walk to town or quick with Uber , would definitely stay again !

Studio completamente cómodo, cumple con todas las necesidades que se pueden requerir. Totalmente recomendable.

This place was wonderful, and I look forward to staying again in the near future! It had everything that we needed, and our host was extremely proactive about anything we had questions about in the area, as well as information related to checking in and checking out, so we could make the most of our stay. She was also able to take care of a few rowdy neighbors who were partying too loud, and that was very nice to experience because not all hosts do that.

Beautiful secluded place great for respite. Very nice family with the parents next door who are wonderful people. Uber is available sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get there so plan accordingly to head into Progresso for restaurants and shopping & groceries.

Muy buen lugar para hospedarse siempre limpio

La pasamos muy bien! Todo funcionó muy bien!!

Increíble el departamento, muy lindo y cómodo, tal como en las fotos. Cuenta con muchas amenidades, la cocina está muuuy completa, tiene demasiados utensilios. En el baño dejan shampoo y jabón, tienen toallas suficientes y plancha para la ropa. Los climas funcionan súper bien, en general todo funciona bien a excepción de una tv que realmente no afecto nuestra estancia. En el balcón hay un sillón súper cómodo para pasar la tarde ahí, y se ve la alberca. La alberca está muy a gusto, tiene una altura de 1.2 mts aproximadamente. La playa queda a 1-2 minutos caminando, sin embargo, (al menos a mi me toco) hay un olor nada agradable en la parte de la entrada y la zona ahí no está muy “adaptable” para estar en el mar. En conclusión, lo recomiendo muchísimo vale la pena.

Disfrutamos muchísimo el departamento, la ubicación es perfecta, justo a unos pasos de restaurantes, cafeterías y un OXXO. Luis muy atento a nuestras necesidades y solucionó rápido y eficientemente los percances que tuvimos. Definitivamente regresaríamos a hospedarnos en el alojamiento.

We stayed only two days in Mauricio’s place because it was only a short visit in Progreso. The condo is very nice, well furnished and supplied. The neighbours are nice and the place is quiet. There is a nice pool and a rooftop patio with a nice view, shaded area and a nice breeze. There is a convenience store nearby as well as a few nice restaurants with a varied offering of dishes. We recommend this place for a nice stay in Progreso.
