Everything about Villa Merida is absolutely incredible. We've been lucky enough to have travelled to quite a few places and this is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. The villa is gorgeous. The pool and courtyard are beautiful and the room was extremely spacious, with the most comfortable bed and gorgeous decorative elements. The owner has done a wonderful job of renovating but maintaining the colonial charm. It has such thoughtful touches, such as extra towels for the pool and cenotes, a massive container of drinking water that we could fill our water bottles with that gets changed everyday, wonderful smelling toiletries. The villa itself isabout a 25 minute walk to the centre, which has all the best bars and restaurants, or a £3 Uber, and the Ubers were super easy to order. Batiste, the manager was fantastic. He gave us the best recommendations and was so helpful and responsive for any questions we had. If you're wondering whether to stay, just book it, you won't regret it!

We stayed at the Hotel Peregrino for two nights and had a wonderful time. The historic center of Mérida is within walking distance, and the ADO bus terminal is, by car/taxi, just mere minutes away. The hotel manager was very welcoming, spoke impeccable English and supported us in anything we needed. We had booked a day trip which required us to leave before the official breakfast time, the staff was very supportive and prepared sandwiches, some fruit as well as tea for us to take on our way. We would definitely recommend Jim's place to anyone traveling to Mérida.

Simon's place was more Baptiste's place in my case as Baptiste was our main contact. Baptiste is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The place itself is a little magical. When you come from the busy street to the entrance hall, the world changes into a peaceful oasis, filled with sounds of birds and fountains, with never ending alleys that lead from one courtyard to another. The architecture is light and elegant and with a sense of time passed and standing still at the same time. You feel the presence of previous generations that lived here, with a sensation that the architecture beauty will outlive us. The room was stunning with high beamed ceilings. Loved the terrace under cover. Enchanting! Only downside the place is a bit far from decent coffee options,

It is a nice place and very clean, with a great location if paperwork is required to the consulate, there are several options to eat nearby and the area is very safe

This was a return trip for us, after six years away, and the property is even more wonderful now than before. You are staying in a historic mansion in downtown Merida and you feel like this sumptuous villa is yours. The ceilings must be almost 20 feet. The gardens and courtyards are iconic tropical Mexico. And the pool — now heated! Plus a large communal kitchen where you can make coffee and breakfast in the morning. The staff is welcoming and helpful. And your are within 20-25 minute walk to the Main Plaza and other centro attractions, restaurants and bars. Phenomenal.

Excellent place, I loved the area

Comfortable facilities and excellent amenities to keep you entertained. We arrived before check-in time and you can be in their facilities while the room is ready.

Perfect place for a weekend get away! Very clean room and facilities, great design. It is a very cozy space. We had a little mishap with the water supply. Our host responded quickly and it was easily resolved! Excellent location, a couple of blocks from Paseo Montejo and an Oxxo 🫡

Davinia is a gracious lovely and kind host and her beautiful house is a reflection. Elegant comfortable beautiful pool and accommodations. An absolute recommendation to experience Merida!

The hotel is very central, close to everything, access to restaurants, the people there are very friendly and the hotel is very clean.

It is a beautiful place, the managers are very friendly, it is very clean. You just have to walk about 6 blocks long to get you into the center. I would stay there again without thinking. Breakfast is homemade and delicious

Great location, though it’s a bit of a walk or a 5-minute drive to reach the busier streets and restaurants. The stay was clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff present. The location was easily accessible and situated on a quieter street.

We had a great stay in a private twin room. The Hostal is super clean, the kitchen is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying there!

Very friendly staff in the reception and the building & facilities were gorgeous. Vintage vibes yet beautifully restored. We stayed for three nights in October and despite raining season we had a wonderful stay. Only a short fyi - if visiting in this time of year, remember to bring a mosquito repellent.
