Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Prince Edward County

FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS!!! This vacation was perfect for us and a few close family members. The setting is pure country with lots of extras included in the house. The peacefulness was exactly what we were looking for. We had multiple visits from deer, turkey and other wildlife that let us feel close to nature. The house itself is beautiful with lots of open space and comfortable furniture. It's everything we looked for and more!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse. We attended my great nieces wedding and found the property the perfect retreat. The farmhouse was beautifully renovated, featuring an incredible gourmet kitchen that I really loved-especially the coffee bar. The house was immaculate, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared with delightful touches such as fresh pastries, and baskets containing supplies for barbecues or making s'mores at the fire pit. The highlight of our stay was the tour of the farm with Curtis, the caretaker, who graciously fed the horses, sheep and goats. It was a special experience that added to a memorable weekend. I highly recommend this property.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The combination of the mountain house and the river house was perfect—each had its own charm and stunning views. Our kids had an absolute blast exploring the area, playing by the river, and enjoying the open space around the houses. It’s a fantastic spot for families with children. The views are breathtaking, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We would definitely love to come back!

Our family of seven spent two nights here to have family Thanksgiving, The drive to the house is very beautiful with mountains in the distance. The house was very spacious and clean. The integrity of the farm house itself is very warm, with many of the original floors and woodwork. The game room in the basement is a plus. Morning walks down by the creek give you an opportunity to be connected to nature. Very special visit and most definitely would recommend this charming home to others. House is as described, the host was very easy to work with and responsive with questions before our arrival, had no need to contact them after we arrived. The home was open and roomy, the kitchen very modern and clean, loved the downstairs shower, overall we had a very positive experience.

A very private and peaceful setting. Only 10 to 15 minutes to a local town. Rest and relaxation is what we needed and we got it! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful historic home! Everything was very clean and we had the necessary items to prepare meals. We slept well in the comfortable beds. We enjoyed the back porch and walking the grounds - we only wished we would have had more time to relax and enjoy the quietness. This home was within an hour’s drive to Monticello and Liberty University.

Sadly, my husband and I didn’t have the chance to stay here because of water issues, but Patricia arranged a hotel for us. We planned to stay here the night of our wedding. We were bummed we couldn’t stay here, but the hotel was wonderful. We had an issue with payment and the hotel ended up charging us but Patricia promptly sent us the money back via “Venmö” The hotel was also more expensive and they covered the additional cost which was very kind. Hopefully the next time we are in the area we can stay with them! Overall amazing hosts and went above and beyond.

Being the first guest was a first for me at any air bnb, the setting is extremely peaceful, the yard is an acre with an above ground pool. The host's were absolutely amazing and accommodating going above and beyond with hospitality which meant the world to us! This place and the host's were above and beyond expectations, 10/10 recommend!!

Nice place to stay. I enjoyed the time in the country and time by the pond.

My husband and I couldn’t not have been more grateful and surprised that it was even better than the pictures. They went above and beyond what was expected to make our stay incredible. We have stayed places all over the country and have never experienced the gift that this family gave us this weekend.

I stayed in the cabin on the river, I must say it was probably the best few days I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful and peaceful set up, not to mention the farm as a whole was amazing. I will definitely be back!

Book it!! This place is secluded, peaceful and simply beautiful! We left feeling relaxed which was the goal. The cinnamon rolls were such a treat and just amazing! Thanks for sharing this gem!

If you’re looking for a peaceful spot on the river, punctuated by an occasional train whistle (across the river), this is it! Bryan and Wanda made sure we had what we needed and were very kind. The cabin is low on frills but we expected that. Access to the river is very easy and our son enjoyed several afternoon floats. Paddlemore was terrific for a weekend stay.

My daughter and I loved staying at Katie’s cozy cabin! It’s nestled in the woods, surrounded by nature in all its beauty. Her cabin is so comfy and we felt right at home walking in. All of the furniture was comfortable and the space was very clean. We did get to experience a rainstorm and the porch was a lovely spot to enjoy it! It was a perfect spot for the 2 of us. We would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay at Hat Creek Camp was short but exceptional. I wondered if we would have enough to do outside of wind down, which was our primary goal. I had no phone service on my apple which was fine with me. My husband’s Samsung had a signal, go figure. We were there to disconnect and let our dog run free. I’ve never seen her so happy, jumping in the lake and stream. Time flew walking the trails, being on the lake, barbecuing and just sitting by the fire pit. I thought we’d need cards but there was no time. The cabin was small but clean. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. I wondered why past reviewers mentioned the bed but it was comfy enough to mention. My dog cried after we were gone 10 minutes on our way home. Thought she needed to potty but after a break and 3 hrs home she never went. I think she was missing camp and didn’t want to leave. I know we didn’t.

The home is lovely. The kitchen is well-appointed for making meals at home. The living room is comfortable and well-suited for hanging out. We enjoyed both the hot tub and the pool and the wooded area around the home, gave us the opportunity to see deer and other forms of wildlife. The area is quiet and we felt totally relaxed being at the house. There’s plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Shawana Lynn and her husband are consummate hosts. They left snack and toiletry baskets, which we found to be very thoughtful and handy since we had forgotten our body wash. They provide plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows so guests can customize their comfort levels. Any issues that came up when we were there were quickly and graciously addressed. The amenities are perfect for a relaxing stay in the mountains. We also really enjoyed the location. It’s a beautiful area with hikes, nature drives, wineries and breweries. We had a blast here and we would totally stay again.
