The place was beautiful in a very quiet location with stunning views. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. The beach Calheta is 5 minutes by car easy to reach and highly recommended. We also loved the private parking. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are doing and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. We had a great stay at this place! The location is ideal – just outside the city center, but easily accessible with a nice (but very steep) 30 minute walk. In the immediate vicinity there is a well-stocked supermarket and a great fruit and vegetable shop where you can shop at local prices – quite unlike the overpriced prices in the market hall of Funchal. There is also one of the best bakeries in the city nearby – a real highlight! The property itself is top equipped, clean and offers stunning views over the harbor and parts of the city with its terrace. Throughout the day you can enjoy sun, including fantastic evening sun. A perfect place to relax – we'd love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The apartment is very spacious and beautifully and modernly furnished. It has everything you need. You can basically reach everything on foot. There are enough restaurants nearby that serve delicious food. The bus stop is right outside, and the bus runs every 5 minutes, which brings you into the old town in 20 minutes. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the street was quite noisy, and you couldn't sleep with the windows open. But that's something you can overlook, given the otherwise perfect apartment. We really enjoyed it and would come back anytime.

Manny and his son met us in the evening to welcome us to the apartment and run through the equipment and everything that we might need over our stay. The apartment was a ' breath of fresh air'...quiet and cool with the fantastic balcony....but less than 2 minutes to all the places of interest shops bars etc .. Ir was my first Airbnb abroad and others will have a lot to live up to! Manny checked in...but gave us privacy and the chance to unwind...canm0t recommended it too highly!

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

Amazing apartment in the heart of old Funchal. Close to all the major attractions. It has everything you need for your stay. Super comfortable living room and bedroom it also boasts 2 complete bathrooms. I highly recommend.

We were so thrilled that this place was available after the initial accommodation we booked fell through. The hosts were able to arrange cleaning and set us up within 24 hours so appreciate their efficiency and clear communication. We loved the interior design of the property and all the amenities. The location was also ideal as it’s right next to a shopping mall and around 15 minute walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants near by. Would definitely stay here again!

Miguel’s place was perfect! The apartment looks exactly like the photos. It was clean and well equipped. The view is unbeatable, and the outdoor space was such a nice addition. Miguel is incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. I highly recommend staying at his place!

Great host, very quick to respond. Great accommodation, very clean and tidy and so nice to have the pool. Very hilly, nice walk down into town but would recommend getting an uber or bolt back to the apartment. It’s only 5 minutes and €5 for the trip.

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

We (two couples) had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The house is a little more spacious than we thought. Nice view. Lovely swimming pool. On this slope, there were sometimes clouds, so the sun did not always show itself. For restaurants, you have to take the car. Hosts always responded quickly to a message from us. All in all recommended!

We had a very nice time in the apartment. The apartment is very well equipped. José was very friendly and helpful. We were very happy about the fresh eggs and vegetables. Very Recommended!

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

I can't express how beautiful and peaceful this place was. It was worth every penny, you don't have to worry about anything. Everything is so well equipped, so clean, swimming pool with amazing views to Funchal. I come to Madeira every summer and it was at its best. I had my parents first time here and they absolutely loved it too. Maria was very kind and helpful from the time we booked the place. Hopefully to come back soon again.

Our stay at Jorge’s place was fantastic and we would highly recommend it to any active travellers. The accommodation was just perfect. We felt safe, comfortable and relaxed when there, although we were mostly out exploring the wonderful island. The parking can be tricky but if you were like us and out from 5am and back at 3pm, parking was never an issue, although tight spaces (I recommend getting a small hire car!). 30-40 minute walk to the centre of Funchal and 15-20 bars on the way! The local bars and restaurants were all good but our favourites were Horta and Mau Fetitio if you want excellent food and service. We wanted to go to Il Basilica but they were fully booked most nights. The day trip to Porto Santo is great, very worthwhile and very relaxing but not a lot going on. We went to Pe Na Agua which was really good. Hiring e-bikes is highly recommended. The mountains reputations speak for themselves. Parking at Arieiro gets busy from 5am and costs €20 for the day. Plan well.

The beautiful location was a real highlight, boasting amazing sea views from the balcony that we enjoyed every single day. The lovely swimming pools on site were a fantastic bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip. The great wifi was a practical plus, and we loved that the apartment was within walking distance to the main shops, making everything so convenient. We loved our week at Nuno's place! The apartment was lovely and bright, we loved to soak in the sun on the terrace. Nuno is very caring host :) Madeira's air is wonderful, and with the terrace door open, the apartment was always filled with fresh air- so good to sleep like that. The terrace is not too windy as well! Just the perfect breeze blowing by. Definitely would recommend the apartment!

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

We stayed for a week with 4 in a very nice apartment. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ideal for 2 couples. We highly recommend this clean and tastefully decorated accommodation.
