A mountain villa built more than 100 years ago , built on an imposing rock with a unique enveloping and breathtaking view over the sea to the city , Cascais and the mountain where it is located . The house has been recently renovated and enlarged with a modern and design building enjoying the view and surroundings . You can see from the top of the Serra de Sintra, to the Guincho to Cabo Espichel. Two steps from the footpaths of the Serra de Sintra and its monuments, and next to good restaurants , from cafes with good surroundings , the small village has a supermarket and pharmacy for its tranquility. Guests have at their disposal a house with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, fully private and access to a large garden with an infinity pool where they can enjoy the wonderful view. I live on the property and am available to share stories and information about the region. I love cycling and I know Serra like the back of my hand. I can share the secrets of the mountain and advise the best restaurants in the region. Malveira da Serra, a picturesque village near Cascais and Lisbon (20 min), with walking paths in the Serra de Sintra and its monuments. Guincho Beach and its wild dunes with its unique beauty, are a paradise for Surf/Kite-surf/Windsurf. I advise you to use your own car.

This is the absolute best setting/location. It is part of a larger private property within a VERY short walk to Castelo dos mouros from which you can easily walk to palacio Nacional. Also a quick walk down the hill to amazing food and shops. My only complaint was the hot water was not enough to fill both tubs the morning of our departure, but I enjoyed a cold plunge with a view! Thanks for the hospitality Franco!

A wonderful stay in a great location, Firstly, Nick and family were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to offer tips and ideas for days out and restaurants etc. The house is well equipped and in a beautiful location, lots to see and do in the local area. Would highly recommend. Also two cute and very friendly dogs made the stay extra special for our two daughters!

Charming cottage, pool & garden by Guincho beach

What a hidden gem! It is placed in a calm family area. Quiet and cozy place with direct access to their pool and garden. It is 20 min walk down to the prestige Guincho sand dunes, 10 minutes drive to the central parts of Cascais and Estoril. Everything is close by, the local bakery where you can meet the locals and have a nice espresso or the local grocery store just 5 meters walk from the house. Everyone is friendly and it feels safe. During the day you hear the birds and the wind from the trees. The beachhouse itself is very spacious allowing a family or perhaps two couples to stay here. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, spacious living room with high wooden ceilings and the main bedroom are a few steps below ground which automatically gets cooled down by the ground. We were super happy with Diana and Lucas help. They truly care and will make everything needed in order to make you feel comfy and at home. Thank you for having us!

we had a lovely time at George's place, it truly is a special property and has everything you might want for a romantic getaway! little note, as George mentions the drive up to the house is steep and can be a bit tricky to reverse back if a car comes towards you. while the house feels private and relaxing, you do have neighbouring houses and can hear cars or the neighbours around. overall a lovely stay in a house that was very beautifully designed and more spacious than it looks in the pictures and full of charm. George was a very welcoming and responsive host!! thank you

We loved our stay here, the space was so lovely and homey. The whole property was great with a very nice view from the front terrace. The kitchen is very well stocked, we were able to find everything we needed. We loved being able to come home and be quiet and out of the busy areas. Overall an excellent experience.

We had a great stay at Joao's place. The house was beautiful and well-appointed. There was plenty of space for our group of six, and the kids loved playing on the top floor (be aware that the stairs to the top have wide gaps between them so we had to accompany the two year old up and down to be safe). Joao had great recommendations for the area and gave us a ton of good information for our stay. We also booked surf lessons through his company and rented crash pads for a complete outdoor vacation! There is a small market a short walk away and a few restaurants but we mainly drove the 12 minutes into Cascais for shopping, eating and walking around. We enjoyed being in a quiet part of town, and the neighbors were very friendly.
