and relax....just what I thought as I walked through the door just as it was turning dark. Dondie's house is fabulous. Great instructions to get there, easy to get in. Well equipped sitting room, great WiFi and TV with sky. comfy sofa and occasional chair which I set up to look out the window at the view. kitchen well appointed. 3 drawer freezer and under counter fridge. all clean. Good microwave and toaster. Bathroom spotless, lovely shower. bed very comfortable. Cottage very warm and didn't need log burner at all. very well insulated. We asked Donald for a couple of things and he responded immediately. The notice on the window cill has the WiFi code on one side and refuse instructions on the back. One thing we learned is the shop in Kilchoan will do deliveries and if you contact them in advance they will have it for your arrival. The Puffin cafe in Kilchoan was great as were tea and scones at the church on Wednesday mornings every 2 weeks. met a lot of the locals. A great holiday

A great place to stay, despite the length of the journey! We loved Portuairk, which is an easy walk from the cabin, and Sanna. We also enjoyed super fresh veg from the stall down the road, and Mingary estate venison. Bread from the produce and craft market was of a really high standard too.

This place exceeded expectations- and I already thought it was going to be beautiful! The small touches - like a living herb garden that guests can use, and offering a coffee machine when I asked about a cafetière (there is one as well, in case you’re wondering!) was just the icing on the cake. The pod itself is in a very peaceful, private location. We felt right at home. The welcome for the dog was also lovely, with her own special biscuits alongside the human ones.

This was our second stay at the Chalet and it is a magical location. The chalet is very comfortable whether rain or shine! We will be back for sure.
