Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Pope County

Rebecca’s Air B&B was perfect! We had a wonderful weekend getaway! It is very peaceful and private! The accommodations were very welcoming. The place was well stocked! A variety of coffee pods, sweeteners and small snack items. Had a variety of cooking pots and utensils. They had charcoal for grill, grilling utensils and some very useful fire starting packs (as we arrived in a rainy weekend). They had magazines and brochures of local things to do. You could almost show up empty handed and still have a great weekend, except food… haha Lots of wildlife to be seen, and the trail lights that came on at dusk was a nice touch! Our favorite thing about Rebecca’s place was the sitting area around the campfire! Rebecca was very friendly and helpful.

Connie was very responsive, helpful. The B&B is exactly as described/ pictured. We really enjoyed Shotgun Eddy’s food which was very close by. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful hiking nearby, and all the locals we encountered were so friendly. Connie provided plenty of suggestions for nearby food. I loved the home’s decor and style. Will be on my list for stays in the area in the future. Such a comfortable stay!

What a beautiful space! We had a great stay. The kids got to fish, the doggie got to swim and we all played bags. This was the perfect location for our summer kick off. We hiked Mil Branch Trail and Gardens of the gods. The drive to both weren't terrible from the cabin. We'd definitely stay again.

Nice, comfy little spot for one or a couple. Nice neighborhood and easy to walk to downtown shops and restaurants.

The Lemon Drop was clean and very roomy! Ella did such a great job decorating and making it feel homey! The location was also ideal as it was far enough to be quiet and close enough to town to be convenient! Would stay again and highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We felt right at home. The decor was beautiful and cozy. Lots of soft cozy blankets and pillows to snuggle up with. The tub was an added bonus. We definitely made use of the expansive kitchen space. It was stocked with just about everything you could possibly need. The fire pit was also a nice touch. Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants/pubs within walking distance…and the farmers market as well. We hope to stay there again in the future. 5+ stars!!!!

That was one of the most amazing places we have stayed in the eight years that we’ve been going to Illinois. The scenery was unbelievably beautiful. The fireflies were amazing. The whippoorwill’s sang their hearts out. And, that has to be the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on.

We arrived around 1230AM the night of check in. Everything was exactly as what was written and talked about. Friendly co-hosts. Can’t see a neighbor from the property. Pond in back has plenty of LMB but about 1.5# at most, still fun. Bell Springs was right down the road and take the trail to “devils head”. I haven’t seen such blue water in my life. It ends at little pond type area surrounded by blue water and two large rocks that look like spikes and a little cave behind it. One of the coolest places I have hiked to. Will be back!

This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway with our extended family. It was perfect for our two families with small kids. We loved the fire pit in the backyard and the huge deck to sit on and enjoy the scenery. This is cabin is located next to three other cabins but it still felt very private and secluded during our stay. Communication with Jennifer was also great - she was always helpful and responded immediately. I’m sure we will be returning!

FWIW, I was able to get my small car (Chevy Sonic) through most of the road/driveway. I couldn't for the last ~200 yards, which is fine b/c the description in the listing made me prepare to carry my stuff longer than that.

If you are looking for a place to unplug and relax outdoors with a good book this is the place for you! We had a wonderful 4-night stay at this gorgeous and peaceful country property. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, providing plenty of amenities that made our visit even more enjoyable. The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable—truly a home away from home. They even left us s'mores supplies for the fire pit! One helpful tip: cellphone reception in the area is quite limited, so be sure to download maps ahead of time for easier access to local grocery stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. Overall, it was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, and we’d absolutely love to return!

Beautiful place to get away. Cabin has everything you need! Literally walk out of the back door and step out on to the lake. Kayaking and fishing was a blast! Hot tub after a long day on the lake was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

We just enjoyed our 2nd weekend away at the cabin! it's home away from home for us. Donna always goes above and beyond with amenities, has great recommendations for local dining and events, trails. This is our 5th year here and second with Jessica the new owner! Every year has been amazing and our kids always have so much to do and are outside pretty much the whole time we are there! We love how secluded and private the beautiful cabin is.

Lovely stay, me and my mates enjoyed our stay. The lake and canoes were a bonus I had not known about, overall 10/10 stay. A few stinkbugs were a bit annoying, but nothing the swatters couldn’t take care of, it’s expected for the area. I would highly recommend this to others.
