Vacation rentals with breakfast in Pope County

I needed to stay somewhere halfway between Chicago and Atlanta. Sara's place was perfect. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Sara is a gracious host.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Mansion! Tony and his wife were very attentive to our needs and we were very comfortable during our stay. The mansion and interior decor are fascinating and create a unique and timeless environment; I really felt I had gone back in time many decades; this was such a welcome respite from my life in California. We will certainly always try and book the Mansion for our annual trips to Southern Illinois. I highly recommend the property.

This listing is spot on. The pictures are accurate. It was sparkling clean. The hosts furnished Keurig coffee maker and some K cups. They had fresh 1/2 n 1/2 in the fridge. Breakfast treats were on the counter. The home is beautiful. A nicely appointed Arts and Crafts bungalow in a neighborhood of many similar homes. It was very convenient for our party attending Quilt Week, minutes from downtown action. Our host even assisted us in connecting to the wifi network. We would definitely book again.

First texted Rachel at 6pm, she had a room ready by 8pm. the room and my private bath were perfect. breakfast was healthy and very filling, just what I wanted. Rachel is very friendly and eager to help in any way she can. I highly recommend her rooms.

I ended up staying in the Africa Room which I found extremely comfortable and peaceful. I enjoyed the eclectic furnishings of the house, and Rachel the host was super helpful. I highly recommend and will stay here again in the future :)

This is a beautiful place to stay with wonderful hosts! It was quiet and the breakfast was delicious! Shelley is a wonderful host and Jonas always answered quickly when we had questions. We would definitely recommend and will stay again in the future!

We stayed 3 nights and everything was wonderful. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, and the hosts are very responsive and attentive. Highly recommend staying at the Respite!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. We needed a couple of things when we first got there and she brought them right over. The room is quite large with lots of storage. It’s very close to the Quilt Museum and downtown. Breakfast was great. We had a chance to talk to the host and we were excited to find out that the house was previously the quilting studio of Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, whose art was being showcased at the museum. We felt safe and would recommend this stay to others.

Such a beautiful place and a great location. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well decorated. Newly remodeled and very private. The entire house is super nice. There where other guests there during our stay but we hardly saw anyone! Quit and peaceful. Outstanding value as well! I would highly recommend.
