Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

This accomodation didn't feel like the usual Airbnb, it felt like home. Clearly Selma&Ricardo care about their guests and ensured the house has everything you might need to actually live there. We stayed a week but we would have happily stayed extra as the place is big enough and has a huge beautiful outdoor. Location is perfect to visit both east and west, there is a very convenient Continental supermarket nearby which is open till late and saved us when local restaurants where closed on Sat/Sun/Mon. As soon as we entered we could smell how clean it was and overall it looks so much cosier and beautiful in person. Great communication, offered early check in and amazing tips around places to visit which we followed and found fantastic! We could not have asked better!

Ana’s home was perfect for our group of 7 adults. Spacious, clean, well equipped and not far from the central area and had enough amenities nearby. We had no issues parking our large van rental on the street in front of the house. Highly recommend.

Thankyou Maria Luisa for sharing your WONDERFUL home with us. You have provided everything needed including an AMAZING view in a peaceful surrounding. You were always trying to make our visit perfect and you succeeded. From the overflowing welcome basket to arranging for fresh bread delivered to the gate post. The weather was less than ideal ( the worse in 50 years according to the locals), however a warm fire in the fireplace, heaters and plenty of warm blankets kept us very comfortable. There is the annoyance of barking dogs, unfortunately there is nothing more the host can do to correct this. We have encountered this issue on most of our stays in the Azores. The location is ideal for exploring the Island by car. We will definitely return to this beautiful oasis in Maia, overlooking the village and the ocean. Amazing stay would definitely come back to this beautiful property. Interior was clean and homey apart from one encounter with a cockroach-that is apparently normal at this time of year but wish we were given a heads up. Host was always quick to respond and managed to check us in early which was greatly appreciated for our early flight.

In general, we were fine. The couch is very small. There was a smell of humidity mixed with the fragrance it has throughout the property. Kitchen is good. The 2 bedrooms are good.

Valdemar and his family are so kind, helpful and accessible. They live next door and operate a small grocery store which was useful when needed. Larger stores are located in Capelas a few minutes away. The home was extremely clean, well organized and had two nice terraces. to note: only one bedroom is private as it has doors, but the other two bedrooms are open concept so noise can be an issue among others in your group. The beds could be more comfortable. Otherwise, an amazing stay and lovely hosts!

Beautiful, secluded little cottage with a lovely private garden. Excellent communication, instructions and helpful recommendations. We had a lovely stay here and the accommodation had everything we needed. There is a supermarket in walking distance and the garden was quiet, full of birds and great for watching the sunset. I don’t know how much is within walking distance, but we had a rental car and this was perfect for our requirements. Thank you!

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. We rented this villa for two families, and everything was perfect. The space was large enough for everyone to be comfortable. During our stay, the service was impeccable: we were brought clean towels, a much appreciated gesture. The location is ideal, close to everything, and the view is breathtaking. A detail that doesn't show up well in the photos: there are two parking spaces, which was a real plus. We would recommend it in a second!

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

Alexandra is the best host you can imagine. She is very friendly and reliable. The house is fantastic and well divided. The kids had fun with the animals. I recommend booking and would love to come back again and again.

Great place. Large for 2 people, really fully equipped to be independent. Strategically very well located on the island. Beautiful garden, very well maintained with secure private parking. Nice pool that we didn't use as there's so much to discover on the island. Great stay and great welcome.

Francisco immediately made us feel at home in his air bnb. He offered great recommendations for us to see the island and had everything we could need during our stay. The place was clean and less than a 10 min drive to the city center.

Maria was a wonderful host. Great communication and friendly. She not only let us check-in early but she allowed us to leave our luggage when checking out due to our flight being delayed. The place looks exactly like the pictures. For anyone with mobility issues please be aware that there is a flight of stairs up to the house when you enter, plus there are stairs up to 4 bedrooms. The outside space had amazing views, and if the weather cooperates it’s a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. We were unfortunate that the weather was not the best. I recommend Maria’s house.

Very good hosting, we arrived a little late but Carlos was waiting for us. Accommodation is well located with a beautiful view, very well equipped, there is everything you need. Carlos was very attentive, available and concerned about our well-being. I highly recommend it... The sunset in the evening on the terrace is very nice!! Thanks again to Carlos for hosting us!

The room and location were above and beyond our expectations. The grounds and view were stunning, only made better by the incredible hosting by Fatima. We are looking forward to returning many times!

I am lucky to have stayed in many places, in many countries around the world. Without a doubt in my mind Fatima was the best host I've ever encountered!! I have never felt so welcomed and at home as I did at Fatima's. She is an absolutely lovely human, and she has done a wonderful job setting up her apartment for guests. You will have everything you need. The property is gated in with a large yard, making it feel very safe, peaceful and secluded, while still a short drive to the two main towns. Although the kitchen is small it is fully equipped, and has everything you'll need to make snacks or full meals. The bathrooms were both very clean, and beautiful. The beds were warm and comfortable. My father and I absolutely loved our stay!! I hope to come back again soon and would love to stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you for everything Fatima!!
