Secluded 40 Acre Estate w/Hot Tub & Jet Tub

RobRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The home was in great shape and had everything we were expecting. We looked forward to a weekend away in a private and remote space. Overall we were very satisfied. I would caution anyone that there are cameras around the house exterior and it felt like we were being watched at all times. That became especially clear when someone came by the house to do work outside on Saturday morning, unannounced. They didn't disturb us, but it was just strange to come to the space when we had the home reserved. That just made us a bit uncomfortable. Also note that the door lock code is set for exactly the check in time. We commuted to the house from Denver, which is about a 2 hr drive and ended up showing up 10 min before check in. We had to sit in our car and wait for the code to reset to get in. It's a minor thing, but having like a 15-30 min grace period would be real hospitality.

Dream Valley Cabin

JoshRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Due to low competition and a decent price point compared to competition this place does well. I would rate it 3-4 stars based on just the mere location. The rating goes to 4-5 with the view you don’t get in Denver and the hot tub. Negatives- right off the highway so your heart rate goes up entering and leaving. There’s no shampoo just some cheap dollar store soap which I guess you can use for shampoo. Up to you.. bring your own if you want. Not really a tranquille mountain getaway as there’s a cabin infront of your nice Mountain View(not shown in the photos) and the sound of the highway outside. Positives- Hot tub with nice Mountain View’s, which make you forget about the highway noise and hopefully you fill it with good conversation with whoever you’re with. The prairie dogs scurrying around out back are cute. Conclusion- I have to say the hot tub saved it. Keep the hot tub maintained and people will be happy.

Bernedette’s cabin was such a nice stay in Buena Vista! Located very close to town and the hot springs, yet feels isolated surrounded by nature and the mountains. Our family really enjoyed the stay, using the hot tub, kitchen for cooking dinner, and tv for movie nights. I recommend to anyone looking for a close to town, cabin stay in Buena Vista!

Enjoy springtime in the Rockies

NicoleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Joyce and John were wonderful hosts. The property was absolutely stunning and relaxing. Directions may be intimidating but very easy to get there. We didn’t feel the need to tip toe around with the hosts living downstairs. It’s important to be respectful but did not feel any pressure to be quiet like some previous reviews suggested. Joyce shared with us their up and coming project they’re working on and we are extremely excited for it to be finished to come back and visit. If you’re looking to relax and get away, this is definitely the place.

Monarch Hideaway-Cabin surrounded by aspens

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful stay! We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host, such as having enough towels, toiletries, and even common stuff that you might for get like make up remover wipes. I feel like these days airbnb hosts aren't super considerate like that, and have only the bare minimums but we didn't feel that way for this rental! 10 out of 10.

Rocky Mountain Meadows Lodge

EmilyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
House was beautiful with amazing views of the mountains. We took 4 mile walks each morning just using the road and got to see some amazing views, enjoy the crisp air etc. The washer did break while we were there but Russ had someone out to look at it and replaced within a day! The hot tub was awesome. Could use some more towels and the lighting in the rooms could be brighter but overall a great stay! Would definitely recommend.

This place was exactly the relaxing getaway we were looking for! It is for sure secluded, so make sure you prepare before you get there. Haley was very responsive and friendly. The house is very pretty and open with a well stocked kitchen. The scenery is gorgeous and there is a super fun hike right down the road at Guffey Gorge, the bakery in town in Guffey is also excellent.

The Overlook in Ranch of the Rockies

Perfect stay. Great hosts. This is their second home, fully equipped. If you stay here please treat it as your own. Location is quiet, with an amazing view & close proximity to Buena Vista for shopping, hiking, water sports. Lotsa room for a big family, or 2 couples and kids. I had it all to myself for 7 nights. Kids room has bunk beds. Wifi was plenty fast with the living room smart Tv and surround sound system. Plenty of parking for several cars with easy access on county maintained dirt roads.

The Lower Cumberland Pass Cabin

MartinRating, 5 stars9 months ago
2nd visit here. Wonderful place to unplug! Beware: door handle will open from inside while it is locked - I did manage to lock myself out! Thank God I had my truck keys in my hand or I would’ve been sunk. Once I got down to Pitkin, Tony was quick to help me out with a spare key at 10:00pm in the middle of nowhere! I slept really great that night knowing I could’ve been sleeping in my truck! I would recommend Tony hiding a key somewhere or switching to a keypad lock (or even a lock that won’t let you open the door from the inside while it’s locked). Great stay in spite of a nerve-wrecking drive down to Pitkin one evening hoping I could reach Tony. Thankfully it all worked out. Also - FYI - the drive from the Pitkin side is not as rocky as the drive from Tincup. Definitely recommend going up from Pitkin if you can.

Cabins at Chalk Creek FKA the Love Ranch

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

I can’t say enough good things about my stay. The place may be small but it’s perfect for a solo traveler, and the attention to detail made it feel so worthwhile. Everything is thoughtfully cleaned and all basic needs provided for, and then some. Bettina is a great host and very responsive. Twin Lakes is a dream I’m already wishing I’d stayed longer.

My husband and I vacationed in Hartsel at Leslie’s cabin for a week from Santa Fe NM. We really enjoyed Leslie’s cabin. The Cabin had great supplies, amenities and was decorated beautifully. We were able to get to the State Parks easily to enjoy are day and the place was so nice to cook and relax in at night. We hope to stay at Leslie’s place again. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin in Pitkin, Colorado. Everything was so nice & clean. And well organized. My only complaint would be that cell service is spotty & no cable TV. But, the town people are really friendly & we met many new people while we sit on the front porch & they were walking by. I would definitely stay here again

Salida CO Rentals - Mtn House *No cleaning fee*

PhilipRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I did have one issue where the location showed up in the middle of downtown Salida when the property is actually near Methodist Mountain on the other side of highway 50. This seems to be an Airbnb issue as they were very apologetic and responsive. Would love to come back during the summer as the area is quiet and beautiful. place was clean and most everything is present like hairdryer, kitchen utensils along with pots and pans and clean bedding. Things look well taken care of and is not old and worn down like other cabins I have stayed in.

Host provides a thorough welcome book provided prior to arrival that has all the information needed along with suggestions for local restaurants and other area offerings. Would recommend for those looking for quiet away from the crowds and in a beautiful setting.

Cabin on No. 7

Renee is super responsive to your inquiries and the cabin matches the listing. It is a peaceful place tucked into a golf course setting. Town is just a short drive away but nothing walkable other than beautiful sights! The king bed is comfortable and there are fans in the bedroom for use and an overhead in the family room. It is decorated in a comfortable log cabin style which we really liked. This is a quiet community and has great access to what Beuna Vista has to offer.

Guest Cabin at La Dolce Vita Ranch

OlgaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
La Dolce Vita Ranch is a perfect getaway destination. It almost felt like the photos didn't give this place enough justice, because it was bigger and prettier in person. The ranch offers farm products such as meat, eggs, homemade Italian breakfast items -- don't miss your chance to try them. I went home with 2 dozens of eggs and frozen beef cuts, and I can't be any happier! There are very cute dogs that live (and work!) on the property - say hi to Aspen!
