Very nice home nestled in the tree line at base of Mt. Yale. Very quite and peaceful area and close to Buena Vista and local attractions. Host provides a thorough welcome book provided prior to arrival that has all the information needed along with suggestions for local restaurants and other area offerings. Would recommend for those looking for quiet away from the crowds and in a beautiful setting.

This was the perfect little getaway for my wife, our dog and myself. The house was well stocked and on a great little slice of land just outside of Salida. We loved waking up to a little mountain chill, drinking coffee on the porch and making breakfast on their blackstone while overlooking the river. Doug and Stephanie were great hosts and very responsive. We are already planning our next trip back.

My husband and I loved our weekend stay. The house and surroundings are beautiful. So many great details and amenities! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and sitting in the sun on the back patio. We drank our coffee by the gas fire pit in the mornings. We liked the throw blankets in the living room for movie watching and the hot tub specific towels. The shower and bathtub were great. We would love to have stayed longer.

Absolutely great stay. Place is exactly as described and the pictures don’t do it justice. Amazing views from every room in the house. Thoughtful layout and design. Hiking right outside the door with public land access to the Arkansas River after a decent little hike with some elevation change (the hike is not for those with physical limitations). A hot tub addition would be my only suggestion. 100% A+ property.
