“We were driving from Colorado to Minnesota on last notice and needed a place to stay the same night and found this gem! We requested it hoping for a response and Mike accepted and responded very quickly! The place was spotless, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Much better then any hotel!”
Located one hour from Omaha in the scenic Loess Hills of Iowa, this newly remodeled studio apartment above the garage has a large deck and a beautiful valley view overlooking my hometown. With a queen bed, a pull-out sofa, full kitchen, shower in bathroom, laundry, and gas fireplace, the apt. is attached by an elevated deck to the main house, my childhood home, (which my husband and I call our "Hilltop Hospitality House"). We are excited to welcome gracious guests to this lovely space.
“We loved this mid century modern airbnb. The wrap around lookout deck was the best thing we saw while in Dunlap. We only encountered an issue once when first coming to the house - the snow was covering up a lot of identifying details. Google maps stated it was a different house right next door, but it’s actually the house at the very end of the road at the turn around. The host left a lot of little info notes around the house which my mom and I agreed was a cute surprise every time. I also loved the easy to use fireplace with just a pull switch, the dimming light, the giant window overlooking Dunlap, and most of all: the map where she had pinned all the places in the world she has been to. Now both my mom and I are buying maps for our own houses to do this same thing!”
