We call this space the Waffle House because it’s the historic home of Waffle House founder Joe Rogers. The space is a full apartment with kitchen, laundry, living room, bathroom and bedroom. The apartment is located on W Deaderick and is just a short walk to Jackson Walk Restaurants , Farmer's Market, and Hub City Brewing Taproom. I am the brewmaster at the local brewery, and my fiancé works as a reporter for the local newspaper. We live downstairs with our two dogs, Layla and Morri.

Great location for my son’s graduation at Freed Hardeman. Plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend if visiting Freed or Henderson in general.

Perfectly cute house! Comfy beds, nice lounging and work spaces, and kitchen had everything we needed. Even listened to Eddie Arnold on the record player. The unique design touches were spot on. Dawn was so responsive and friendly. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Area inside was exactly as looked in pictures but we had a misunderstanding because we thought this listing said it was an apartment but it was really more like a room above a house where the neighbors live directly in the floor below of the house so it wasn’t what we were hoping for because we thought by apartment it meant like an apartment room in an apartment complex so we chose to not stay the night because it didn’t feel private but I don’t want to give a bad rating because the host was very kind & refunded us half & since it was more of a misunderstanding it’s not that the place was dirty or anything it just wasn’t as private as we thought it would be based on the description of “apartment” but otherwise great that it was dog friendly & the host was very kind & responsive & seemed to be equipped with everything someone would need if they did decide to sleep there & the bathroom looked nice & clean & well stocked.
