Vacation rentals with a patio in Penrith

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

Great place clean and quiet. Only let down was not loads around, Penrith only a 15-20 min drive though!

Had a brilliant stay, was met by Kevin to check in, he was very informative and couldn’t offer enough advice/guidance. Vikki was very responsive during communications and always very respectful and clear. The place itself is amazing, very spacious, clean and you get plenty of towels, cutlery etc. The hot tub is very well kept and smart. The hosts are there if you need anything but leave you to total privacy. The view from the back is outstanding and we had a brilliant time. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We have had a lovely stay at the boathouse which was just amazing! The boat house its self is beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It is very well equipt, plenty of towels, blankets and even robes. We loved the hot tub with views over the lake. The location of the boathouse was just perfect for us and the views were stunning! We took our own paddle boards and was so happy to be able to launch straight from the jetty to explore the lake. My daughter also loved feeding the ducks from the jetty. We have had a busy few days on local bike trails, hikes, paddle boarding, boating and having some lovely meals out in beautiful Bowness, but always looked forward to returning to the boathouse! We will definitely be returning! Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay at The Barn. We stopped off here for a couple of days on our way to Scotland and it was the perfect location. Pat and Neil really looked after us and the accommodation was excellent in every way. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic two nights stay at this place and the host Alison was easy to contact and happy to help with instructions for check in and even had the place ready a little earlier for us to check in as this was made possible on the day of arrival. Overall a fantastic stay and the location was perfect for all the local bars and restaurants in the area being only a short five minute walk from Bowness beach waterfront.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning spa chalet with my partner, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled in a peaceful setting, the chalet combines natural beauty with luxurious comfort. The atmosphere was serene and calming—perfect for unwinding and recharging. Inside, the chalet was beautifully designed, with cozy interiors, tasteful décor, and every modern comfort thoughtfully provided. This home was a lovely place to stay for the week. It was a great base while we explored the lake district from Scarfall Pike, to the many lakes for swimming and paddleboarding; and from the Gingerbread in Grasmere, to the caves of Rydal. The upside-down house was beautifully surrounded by rose bushes, lavender and an array of beautiful flowers and plants in the garden. The kitchen and bathroom had all the essentials, and were clean and tidy. The lounge and garden were lovely to relax in. The beds were comfy, and the blackout curtains were an added bonus for a good night's sleep. Upon our exit, we were greeted by Linda, who very kindly asked how everything was. Thank you Linda and Andrew for a lovely home to enjoy on such a wonderful holiday.

Our third stay in Ann’s cottage so it feels like home. We feel so very relaxed here and it’s in the perfect situation for exploring the Northern Lakes. As always the accommodation is bright, airy beautifully decorated with everything we need. Ann’s commutation is friendly, courteous, timely and precise. We couldn’t wish for more.

The flat was lovely, beautifully kitted out and with some interesting lighting features! There was lots of space inside. We appreciated being able to stay a bit longer before checking out so we could have a planned zoom meeting. Thank you for being accommodating.

Lovely town, beautiful walks on the doorstep, plenty of food options, Mary gave great instructions and recommendations and the apartment was just as it is in the photographs, everything worked and well stocked kitchen. Appreciated the biscuits, milk and tea and coffee after a long drive. Will rebook to visit with my daughter in the future. Thank you Mary.

Where do I begin? This place was amazing. Lovely owners, very clean accommodation, and probably the cosiest place we have had the pleasure of staying in. We wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed our time in the Lake District, and this Airbnb makes for a good base for exploring the region. It's within walking distance of Keswick—the best town in the Lake District with a number of great restaurants—but Portinscale is quieter, and having a parking space included is a big plus. The Airbnb space is nicely equipped and very clean. I would recommend this without hesitation.

The property was a home from home. It was absolutely beautiful with an amazing garden and view. The property had everything we needed. The hosts communication was clear and proactive leaving no uncertainty about what to expect. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself very peaceful. Would definately stay again.

This is such a lovely place, it felt like home from home, had everything we needed, clean and comfy. Such a beautiful area, lovely walks from the house, and Grasmere is lovely too. We will definitely be back.
