Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pennsylvania

Suzi and Luci’s Place was absolutely beautiful. For a home that often takes pets, it was top tier clean. They were more than accommodating on check-in time since we were traveling from east end of Long Island, it was about a 4 1/2 hour drive. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean, they had the AC and some lights on for us when we got there as well which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay very short. Paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Suzi and Luci were very understanding when we messaged late at night that we had to leave due to family emergency. The view of the falls was gorgeous. Be prepared for some noise from the road at night as it backs up straight to it, but the hostesses offer ear plugs which was super nice! The shower is a bit small so beware if you are a larger person. Overall a great stay, great communication, super clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to come back and fully enjoy the home! We had an incredible stay! The location was perfect—just minutes from Jim Thorpe and so many popular Poconos spots. Wendy truly thought of everything… literally everything. Her home was stocked, cozy, and welcoming in every way. The game room was a huge hit with the whole family and kept everyone entertained, especially since it rained the entire weekend. Even with the weather, we had a great time because there was so much to do inside. It was the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in and hands down the most comfortable. Truly felt like a home away from home. Can’t wait to come back!

This was absolute relaxation heaven! Quiet, clean and right on the lake. We loved the sunsets, the morning coffee on the deck, and s’mores at the fire table. The beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed and more!

Perfect, last minute getaway weekend spot! Susan was responsive from the beginning and throughout our stay. The home is immaculately clean. My husband fished all weekend and caught several fish:) Sunrises from the primary bedroom and the screened in porch were a beautiful way to wake up. The weather was cool so we didn’t have bug issues but some of the screens probably need to be repaired for warmer days when you want to open the windows on the porch. Kitchen is well stocked and we cooked all of our meals in so we could enjoy the lake view. If you’re planning on cooking, you may want to bring some Tupperware. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed which was exactly what we were hoping for.

Suzanne’s home is absolutely beautiful! We had a great stay, albeit cold and rainy during most of it. The well-stocked house allowed us to feel right at home and during the rain we played plenty of games of pool and darts. The kayaks were fun to take out and we even caught a few fish (although it did seem the fish were smarter than us- stealing most of our bait). The view of the lake is amazing, the area is quiet, and there is an eagle that hangs out on the rock just beyond the dock!

Anne and Chris are both incredible hosts! We have stayed at Cambridge Meadows two years in a row now, and have had an incredible experience both times. It’s close enough to so many restaurants and activities, but the bnb is also nice enough to be able to stay in and hang out there, so there’s a good balance of both!

Danielle was a wonderful host, very fast with responses and made us feel very welcome in her lovely home. The house is very spacious, and beautiful and was very accommodating to our group. The house comes with a paddle boat and kayak and we had lots of fun taking them out to the pond in the backyard. We really loved our stay and would love to come back and stay here again!

One of the nicest places we've ever stayed. It was a great experience all around. A classic one-room schoolhouse that has been converted into a beautiful & spacious home. The woodwork is even more impressive in person. There’s a modern, well-stocked kitchen with an awesome wood table that has to be seen. The entire home was spotless. There were more than ample towels and linens, the furnishings and everything else were top quality. The bedrooms were large, and the beds were comfortable, including the Murphy Bed my son slept on. Adam and Nicole obviously thought through every detail of what their guests might need. Check-in was easy and communication from booking to check-out was excellent. We definitely plan on returning soon.

Great time with family- rained the entire time- best rainy vacation ever! We enjoyed fishing on the lake, hot tub was great, playing pool, family game nights and nearby hiking to waterfalls. Great family spot to bring dogs…Scottish terrier could do the spiral stairs immediately, big wirehaired pointer took a couple of days to conquer the stairs but he Did It! I would highly recommend if you want to spend time with family in a relaxing atmosphere!

The cottage is perfect. Beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The sauna overlooking the lake was amazing. The easy access to the kayaks was great and paddling on the lake was so peaceful. Five stars for a PERFECT weekend at a perfect cottage.

This was our second time at this property, and it will be our first choice any time we visit the area. It is so peaceful, great location to feel off the grid, but easily and quickly get to Harrisburg, Carlisle, and surrounding areas.

This was our third stay in a year and we all had a great time again. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed watching the eagle catch his breakfast every morning. The house has everything you could possibly need and Jane, as always, was an incredible host.

What a magical weekend! My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 4 year anniversary together and had the most amazing time. The tree walk was such an exciting part of the trip, we took a nice early walk and ran into some chickens on the way back to our bnb. Such a beautiful property maintained by beautiful people ❤️ definitely will be coming back

This was our third time staying! This cabin is heavenly - peaceful, quiet, and lots to do! Great fishing! The cabin is clean, and they have everything ready for you. It’s one of our favorite vacations, and we already booked for next year! Mike and Dan are lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend! Great for kids and adults alike. I can’t say enough great things!

Place was amazing! Views from the place were fantastic and the drive to Elk mountain was just short of 20 minutes.

This home was amazing, and the views we breath taking! Highly recommend Chris's rental if you are looking for a serene getaway. Also, if looking for a good resteraunt in the area check out Bandits Roadhouse! I will.not disappoint.

Such a beautiful Airbnb!! Very homey, clean, and a lot of amenities are provided! It is also in a great location. 2 minute drive from the lake, 4 minute drive from mini-golf, 5 minute drive from a beautiful park / hiking trail, a 25 minute drive downtown, and about a 15 minute drive to stores (aldi, walmart, lowe’s) and places to eat. Good home, surrounded by good locations. Host is fantastic, and always communicative. Responds fast, answers all questions, and even left us some vital things such as sunscreen and extra bath towels! A 10/10 experience for me and my girls.

We had a wonderful stay! It was the perfect place to do our 'digital detox' in a lovely cabin with plenty to do (ping pong, fire pit, hot tub and canoeing), and it was well situated to do short drives to hikes, the organic market, horseback riding and more. The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable reading, playing board games, cooking and relaxing there. (The bedding was comfortable, too!) The hosts were friendly and gave great recommendations. We would definitely stay there again.

This was a great place to stay for a few days just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle! Quick responses and everything as expected!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Catia’s place. We enjoyed walks around the neighborhood, s’mores at the fire pit, sitting on the beautiful big covered porch. The amenities listed were all included. Catia’s guide was extremely helpful. The place is exactly as pictured. It was easy to get in and lock up when we left. We spent a lot of time exploring local spots, visited Hickory Run State Park, Hawk Falls, Austin T Blakeslee Natural Area. My boys loved the bunk beds (I loved the room darkening shades). The home was comfortable and Catia was a wonderful host.

My friends and I had a great time during the MDW weekend at Danny’s. The place was just as described and there was plenty of space for the 9 of us. We really enjoyed the game room with all the arcade games and the pool table. Would definitely come back and also recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing trip on a beautiful lake.
