Highly recommended! This was our second time staying at Laurent’s place with a group of students. It’s a spacious and tastefully furnished old villa located in Santa Teresa, one of Rio’s most charming historic neighborhoods. We had a wonderful time and hope to return again next year!

The stay was incredible! I and my friends fell in love with the house, Mariana from the beginning was very attentive and Didi didn't even talk, we arrived at the house and we were amazed at her energy, very helpful, right from the start she showed us the house and the animals (which are beautiful), in addition to that she bought and made breakfast for us! We loved everything and wanted to have stayed longer, me and my friends are already planning the return, not only to the house but also to the loft which is the most beautiful thing too! We simply love and want to return as soon as possible.

The house is excellent, spacious, well equipped. We use the barbecue, pizza oven, pool, slide and sauna. Everything worked perfectly (the Spoletto-style pizza night - each one assembles their own - was a success!). Note: there is no firewood available, you need to bring it. All rooms have a bathroom and air conditioning, which brings a lot of comfort to all guests. In addition to the bathrooms in the bedrooms, there is a social toilet and an external bathroom. Many pots, platters, utensils in general. Very complete house. Junior, the caretaker, was super attentive. The house is one block from the beach, an excellent location. There is a bakery and pharmacy nearby, within walking distance. Wifi worked well. The house comfortably accommodates 15 people, so we were able to bring together my family and my husband's family. It was 3 days of great fun! We love the accommodation and will certainly be back! The only thing we missed, but that did not compromise the accommodation, was a full-length mirror.

Giant house, ideal for our trip, which was a bachelorette party. He treated all the women hosted super well! Very well organized house, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable. Living room combined with the kitchen, with a large space, accommodating up to a couple to sleep on the sofa. Fully equipped kitchen, barbecue area with freezer, large table. We had no problems with the boat to make the crossing at any time, not even at dawn. I just remembered to bring repellent, as it is on an island, there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Our experience at Sam Río’s art deco mansion was wonderful. Everything was great from check-in, cleanliness, communication, outstanding location, and even some playboy posters make for an authentic rio feel inside of the beautiful art deco mansion. The balcony has breath taking views of the sunrise and sunset. We had a group of 8 guys, who all had plenty of room for themselves. This mansion is located near the favela’s but we never once felt unsafe and even got to walk through and explore the favela area, just be smart. Located right between Ipanema and Copacabana, we felt like we were located in the middle of everything. Short walks to the great beaches, shops, and restaurants. Overall, if your looking to get the authentic rio and cultural feel I highly recommend staying with Goitaca in this beautiful art deco mansion.

The house is beautiful and super cozy. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Adam's place for almost 2 months. We are really glad we chose to stay where we did as it has the best views and we got to see plenty of monkeys every morning. The apartment is well set up for short or long stays and although it is technically in a favela, it is safe - that's coming from someone who spent weeks 21-28 of pregnancy there. Adam and Saulo do a lot for the community and you can feel that their guests are well respected in the neighborhood. The apartment itself was comfortable, wifi worked great, and it was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were always helpful and proactive when we needed something as well. Since the place is higher up (for great views), we found it was easy to take the shuttle bus which was just 5 reais. You can also take a motor bike for the same price. We often just walked down to street level which took 15 mins and up which took 20-25 mins. There is a great hike nearby and a fab cafe and supermarket just 5 mins walk!

Simply the best place we've ever stayed in Rio, and we've stayed in a few. The first time we stayed 15 days, and this second time we stayed 10. And we already have a date to come back and stay another 10. It has everything you need for a quiet stay, we cook most days, it's better than in the photos. The island is a gem, we already feel part of it because the people are very nice, besides having many good restaurants, people come from outside just to eat on the island. But for us, the highlight is the host Lela. We even developed a relationship because she is so incredible, and she saved us a few times. And thank you for letting us work in the house. We are very grateful! ❤️

Bruno is an exceptional host! His house managers Jardel and Dora are the most caring people! They truly made the difference in our stay. Oh, and the breakfast every morning was the cherry on top. Anytime we needed help, they were always willing to go the extra mile. My friend even accidentally left her phone in the van from the airport and Bruno was able to coordinate with the drivers to retrieve it for her. We were so grateful to have him! Our group of 6 had a fantastic time in Rio at this Air B&B. Highly recommend staying here!

I spent three weeks at Judite´s place and it was great! By far the best place I´ve stayed while in Rio. Very good location, close to the beach, safe, full of restaurants and bars walking distance, and a supermarket across the road. The place itself is very comfortable, clean, it has everything I needed, and very spacious. She´s very friendly and even came by to say hello. I definitely recommend her place.

The accommodation is somewhat improvised in what used to be outbuildings, but no less attractive for that. Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are not connected, you have to go outside, but it is covered with a dome. What was very practical and important to me was the entrance gate with parking space for the car. That was safer, I had tools in the car. Kitchen and bathroom are super equipped with all sorts of things you might need. Bravo ! The street is very lively. The neighborhood is not really quiet. I can imagine that it can be very busy and noisy in the high season, or that you can hardly get in or out with carnival, but I didn't have any problems with that in May.

Beautiful home and hostess, high ceilings and unique space made for a beautiful stay

Super quiet stay, Marcela was super kind and always responded quickly and helped us with everything. The only detail is that the house needs a few repairs, such as some broken outlets, nothing that has hindered our weekend. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and recommend the place.

This Airbnb was fantastic. Beautiful, more than enough room for our whole group (7 people), and spotless. The location felt very safe and was easy to find. The house itself was beautifully decorated and had all the necessary accommodations, including fast-acting WiFi. The hosts Maria and Paola were responsive, flexible and kind. I would and will absolutely recommend this location to anyone.
