Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Overstrand

We were very happy with our stay - it was quiet and peaceful, the house was very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a lovely garden, close to the sea and to Sheringham centre. We especially enjoyed the coastal path walk and our many stopovers at Whelks Coppers tea rooms. The beach front is lovely on a sunny day (we did get quite a bit of rain but that is the British summer!) I also recommend the nooks and crannies of Peter' s (secondhand) Bookshop, and the fish and chips at Seafare.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. Marian was a fabulous host and also Michelle, who oversees the running of Old Chapel House. We arrived to find the table in the kitchen all set out for dinner. Great fun was had in the evening playing croquet in the fabulous garden and then games around the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in each of the rooms was a lovely touch. Knowing one of my sons was home for our family wedding at Waxham Barn, Marian had arranged an Australian pineapple cake for us to enjoy, together with locally sourced marmalade and apple juice. It was also helpful to find plenty of items such as tea, coffee, condiments etc. My one request to my family was for a slice of sourdough bread, delivered on the Saturday morning, be left for me after having my hair and makeup done. Sadly, it had all been demolished! The house clearly was a previously well loved family home. We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning.

We had the most lovely family holiday here. With a 3 and 1 year old this property had everything we needed to make us feel all feel right at home. A cot, high chair, bib, black out binds, you name it. The river and decking at the bottom of the garden was just so peaceful, our go to spot. We watched nesting swans and ducks, we all loved it. Thank you Hannah for having us. You have a beautiful Airbnb!!

Tommy was a fab host. Communication was great and really fast - especially when I couldn’t figure out the oven and dinner was at risk lol. He was really thoughtful organising a cushion to be posted to us for the high chair. Definitely a host to recommend.

Wonderful stay at dragonfly barn, absolutely fell in love with the place Jane was wonderful throughout and we have booked to go back in November and next year! An absolute little gem no wonder they are so busy. 🤩🤩🤩

We had a great 24 hrs at Pepperpot Cottage. The cottage was clean and tidy, well equipped with lots of attention to detail. Lee and Tara were attentive and proactive hosts who we would highly rate. The cottage is situated right in the centre of beautiful Holt, not far from the Norfolk coast. So much to do locally- the perfect bolt hole.

A wonderful cottage and really tranquil sunny garden. Everything was perfect, spotless and charming with everything you could possibly need and even lovely cake and jam to greet us - so welcoming. Sam was great and answered my requests in a generous hearted and helpful way. Honestly can't recommend the cottage and environs enough, we will definitely be back. 😊

we had a lovely stay in this really nice, large Airbnb, with everything needed to make our stay great. spotlessly clean and modern , Lovely hosts and would definitely recommend We was with our 4 year old granddaughter so the television package was excellent for us to keep her happy in the evening.

Wow what a lovely place to stay! It’s immaculate and has so much included what with the Hamper on arrival, kids toys and books and games, DVDS, spotlessly clean and the quality of the linen impressive! I would go as far as saying it’s the cleanest place we have stayed and in terms of location it’s perfect! All in walking distance! Comfy beds and sofas! I can not fault this place one bit! If you book you will not be disappointed! It’s on a lovely site with pool £4 per child and £5 per adult well worth it so clean and tidy! Lovely bar on site too all dog friendly! Get booking you will not be disappointed!

We had such a lovely time. Location was peaceful and the accommodation was perfectly placed for planned activities and so close to the beach. Inside was clean and lovely and warm and Hannah was fantastic at answering any questions very quickly and also making sure we were settled in. Thank you.

We booked a few nights away, very well kept and clean chalet. Hosts were very attentive to any messages or questions we had. Made our weekend very enjoyable and we will be booking again

We went for a family weekend to connect and just had the most amazing time. Toastie warm comfy beds. Don’t forget to book the pool and top tip… remember to take a towel for the pool!

Having Autistic children makes holidays very difficult for us, but this was the best holiday we’ve had! The pool was by far the best bit, we spent hours in it everyday. It was warm and very clean. The cottage was cozy and had everything you needed. Great location, so much to do within a short drive and lovely beaches. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you Andy and Fi xx

Lorna and Dean's cottage was a so comfortable for our group and a wonderful place to make our Easter memories. Everything is so well appointed and there are detailed notes about absolutely everything. The house is so lovingly lived in and has real cozy character. The garden and pool are stunning and a sun trap for the whole afternoon. The house is located within an easy distance to so many places, we enjoyed a visit to Sandringham while there. We would love to come back and stay in the future and would recommend to family and friends.

We have had a lovely week at David’s cottage. It has everything you could need and more. We loved the kitchen and the garden. The locations great we have really enjoyed the week thanks for having us ⭐️

We found a gem of a place at Swallow Cottage. Aubrey has undoubtably been the most organised, helpful, informative and friendly host I have had the pleasure to correspond with via Airbnb. He should be super proud of turning Swallow Cottage into a beautiful home from home. The amenities are superb, kitchen crockery and utensils etc…. Even the kitchen knives are sharp!! I love to cook and had everything at hand to do so. The immediate walks from the cottage are just stunning, especially if you turn right out the drive and walk along the cliff, just beautiful. My dog Vinnie who is an anxious Annie felt right at home straight away, he often has issues crossing the threshold of a new place, however he just sauntered straight in. I have absolutely no negatives to say about Swallow Cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks so much Aubrey!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. A very peaceful location with lovely views over open countryside. Plenty to do and see close by. We had a lovely stay and can't wait to visit again.

Comfy little place, had everything I needed, good location only 5 mins from Cromer, but bear in mind you're right on the coast, literally, so it was cool and breezy the whole week I was there, while it was warm and sunny at home! The heating was great though. Very quiet and cosy.

Tom's place is in a great location: a short walk to the beach, less than a minute to a children's playground and a short car or bus ride away from Cromer. The house is well kitted out for eating & relaxing and slept 8 people comfortably. Tom was very helpful and responsive. There were detailed instructions for all appliances and suggestions for local places to visit and eat. It is worth noting that the layout of the house (as explained in the listing) means that the people in the master bedroom can only access the upstairs bathroom through the bunkbed-bedroom (or going downstairs and then upstairs again). This may work better for some families than others. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a great time in Overstrand. We would definitely recommend the house to others.

the accommodation was immaculate. it was comfortable and cosy . had everything we needed. the views were stunning. although the weather wasn't great we had plenty to do . we spent an evening in the garden which was lovely. and an evening watching dvds we'd not seen in a long time. it was all perfect and we will be returning. 😍😘

We had a lovely stay at Ruth’s stunning cottage over the Easter weekend, the attention to detail was fantastic, it had everything you needed, and the decor was beautiful, soon as I walked in it smelt lovely and we felt right at home. There was a welcome package which was lovely upon arrival , thank you Ruth. The wood burner kept us warm and cosy during the chilly nights. I must say the bath towels were so soft and all the shower gels and hand washes smelt gorgeous too! I now want to get some! Thanks again Ruth! We are looking forward to coming back very soon!

A lovely apartment, approx 5 minutes walk into the centre of Cromer. The apartment was very spacious, bigger than I expected and spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome pack including pastries, Buck’s Fizz, milk , fruit etc. It has quality furnishings and is extremely well equipped with everything you might need. Super American style fridge freezer in the large kitchen/diner and a lovely comfy king size bed in the large bedroom. Jean was very responsive and on hand if needed. This was definitely one of the best apartments I have stayed in, I will definitely stay again if in the area. Highly recommended. Thank you Jean.
