The Old Chapel Luxury Retreat

ShirleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Just beautiful. A tastefully renovated chapel with elegant furnishings and heaps of character. The well-equiped kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and we had lots of fun with the board games and cards provided. Ashford is a picturesque village with great dining and drinking options. A perfect spot for our family reunion.

The Old Farmhouse, 2 bed luxury cottage

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our second time staying here and we loved it just like last time! The Old Farmhouse is beautiful and extremely well-equipped: we had everything we needed (and some lovely extras). The kids loved it (especially feeding the goats) and we had a relaxed, peaceful and lovely time. We'll be back again!

Staycation Lea Stable Over Haddon Bakewell

VictoriaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Stable is beautiful and renovated to an extremely high standard. The place is cosy but perfect for short or long breaks. Bed super comfy. Fully stocked kitchen. Best shower! I parked around the corner from the property but was totally safe. When offloading or reloading you can park in front of the door for a short time no troubles. Over Haddon is a very picturesque village - lots of walks to do in the area. A few escaped sheep around the area too! Village is very well kept. Would definitely stay again. Marlene was extremely quick via message if needed.

Cottage in Ashford in the Water

MartinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautifully appointed place, very clean and very comfortable beds, in a great location. Super easy walkable access for Bakewell and a seriously good meal at the Bulls Head in Ashford (which has access to a great kids park). Smart TV so easy to login to Netflix if you wish to. The ‘car parking space’ to the side of the property is essentially triangular, so not really suited to anything but the smallest of hatchbacks/sports cars, however plenty of parking space at the start of the lane the house is on. Our only recommendation would be that they provide bubble bath, but that’s very much a nice to have, given the shampoo, shower wash, fresh flowers provided! A lovely base for hiking in the Peak District - we did Dragons Back, Kinder Scout and Chatsworth House.

Quintessential Cottage in the Heart of Bakewell

JanRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The cottage was perfect for our needs especially in terms of its location so close to town. There is very limited parking and limited outside space so may not suit everyone but it was fine for us. Kitchen was very well appointed. One single room is in fact a curtained off space next to the sitting room so not ideal when others are tramping through but could be useful especially for a single person with some mobility issues as the staircase to the upstairs is very old and a little steep. There is a downstairs bathroom too. All very cosy and full of character.

Bakewell charming cosy quarryman's cottage

LisaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Having previously stayed at Faye’s beautiful cottage, nestled in lovely Bakewell, I found out what a wonderful attentive host (and person) she is, and how perfect the place was for my needs. I knew I would definitely return! This time I was lucky enough to have the whole cottage to myself as she was away, and I can’t recommend her home highly enough. Comfortable and beautifully appointed, spacious main bedroom, plus a lovely second bedroom with a sofabed that could be used to accommodate two more guests, or use it as I did, as a sofa and extra space to relax. The lounge is so warm and welcoming, and there is a lovely bathroom with a full size bath and shower, and everything you could need in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a lovely spot to sit out the front with a cuppa (it is SO peaceful there you can only hear the birds), and it’s only a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. Parking is on the main road just a few steps away, and Bakewell is fantastically located for Chatsworth.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was very clean and very well maintained. The location is beautiful and the view from the living room is gorgeous . The local hotel/pub was 5 minutes walk away and perfect for a sundowner after a day of walking. Would definitely recommend staying.
