Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ovar

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

Ines is a wonderful person and excellent communicator that responds quickly. She met us upon arrival to show us around and was so thoughtful to leave us fresh fruit and snacks. She also has a vast knowledge of local places to visit, the Portuguese culture, driving tips, restaurants and more. The home was perfect for the 3 of us. Neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The home is cozy with a working fireplace, a back yard to bask in the sun, great WiFi, and heaters for comfort as needed. Numerous restaurants, local convenience shops, cafes and a cool mall (Vida Ovar) within 10 to 20 min driving. Definitely recommend having a car to explore. I highly recommend her home for a wonderful visit.

Anisia’s family home has fantastic views and is close to popular vineyards. Rooms and bathroom was clean and comfortable. There is a well stacked supermarket at 10 minutes drive from the house. You don’t need to bring any groceries, it’s got everything for barbecuing too. The Kitchen and the cooking facilities are limited, the fridge was small and some of the kitchen equipment was warn-out. But she had lovely dishes. The garden and the pool was well looked after and very relaxing. It was an amazing experience to stay in a family home in the middle of the Duoro Valley.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the amazing and exceptional stay. Beyond the breathtaking view from the villa, everything inside was perfectly thought out - with so many little (and big) surprises that made the whole experience even better than we expected. On top of that, they helped us arrange a last-minute early-morning transfer to Porto airport - which we really appreciated. Highly recommended, and I truly hope to come back for another stay someday!

This was a wonderful Airbnb with a great location. The layout of the house was very nice, with thoughtful design woven in throughout. The location was very convenient for walking by foot to restaurants or visiting the downtown. I wish I could have stayed longer :)!

Very comfortable and well furnished apartment for 4 people. There was absolutely everything needed. The private garage was a very nice extra.

The location was so good, and it was so convenient to enter and exit with a passcode. The host's response came quickly, and the view that was slightly visible from the window was great.

There were three of us sharing the property and it was so nice that I almost wanted to move in permanently! Nice terrace and very tasteful decor in quiet area. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, good proximity to the grocery store and a very nice pastry shop. Great choice if you like to stay a little secluded from the most visited tourist trails and discover different areas. We walked almost everywhere with the exception of some cheap taxi rides. 10/10 residents :)

We loved the apartment! Across from Balhao Market but quiet and comfortable. Easy walks to wherever you want to go. One thing that doesn’t show in the listing is the beautiful tall ceilings and lovely light! Very good value!

Fernando’s place is steps from beautiful Esmoriz beach. Active neighborhood with good restaurants. I recommend Paradoxo and the Angus burgers! Apartment was nice, functional. The washer machine and dishwasher worked well. Internet dropped out once or twice, but mostly it was good. Sometimes you can park right in front, but there is more parking with a block or two so that was good. Great location to base visits of Northern Portugal, and of course it’s a very nice beach!

Great flat! Right in the middle of everything!!! Noisy at night on the weekends but we knew that booking the place. Loved the cute old world kitchen and the huge windows to let the breeze in. Check out Teresa’s paintings throughout the flat. Such a nice personal touch. Communication with the hosts was really quick! We saw so much just walking!!! No need for an Uber until we wanted to go to the lighthouse. Otherwise, so accessible to everything! Perfect place to stay in Porto!!!!

The accommodation is phenomenal. It has a well done renovation, remaining spacious and comfortable stays. Great views of the Douro River. Very good attention received by the host. I recommend it 100%!

Very nicely furnished. Beautiful flower garden in patio area. Kitchen contained all necessary items.

if I had to find a downside to this stay, it would be the mosquitoes. The rest was all great. The host was super friendly, attentive and recommended many places. The house, besides being beautiful and very clean, was also full of things at our disposal. We have been to many accommodations and from several different countries, and we have never seen anything as complete and welcoming as this place. I recommend it 100%, the price is a bit expensive but when we arrived I understood that it was totally worth it. our little dog also liked it a lot :)

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

Breathtaking stay - hard to put in words how perfect this AirBnB is. We had grand plans of doing various tours but all we wanted was to stay by the pool and have BBQs. There was 6 of us and it was perfectly sized. Everything was sparkling clean and very modern. We asked for the pool to be heated which was glorious as the mornings / evenings were a little cooler. Perfectly placed in the valley for floods of sunshine from morning until evening. I came to the AirBnB via an Uber from the airport which was super straightforward, and we easily ordered taxis when needed, so I don't think a car is strictly necessary. (Someone in my group did rent one, but we barely used if.) We did a wonderful few hours at Quinta da Pacheca - a vineyard around 1 hour away, which I would highly recommend. A very warm thank you to Adriana who was on hand to answer all of our questions and who brought a wonderful breakfast spread every morning. Communications generally with host (Noemia and Luis) were excellent.

There should be a rating of “excellent” as “great” doesn’t do this place and its host justice. Jeff is responsive and proactive. He opened the doors for our family to stay & for us to host a family reunion. The place is indescribable. Have you been to Sintra? You will find the same myst and mystique throughout the property. I was in awe of the lights illuminating the way to the most stunning property surrounded by a creek. You’re immersed in a conclave of the 🇵🇹 history. The house if carefully renovated and it had all amenities you could ask for (and more). Everything was indeed curated to supply the most incredible experience. It was mesmerising. Thank you Jeff & Nídia. We won’t forget your home you trusted us with ❤️

We spent 2 excellent nights at Vania's, a small haven of peace and serenity, all crowned with breathtaking views! Thanks to the host's thoughtful touches, such as the fresh bread left in front of the door in the morning. I recommend it without hesitating!

Eduardo’s place was the same as described. The pool and deck has been upgraded and it was very beautiful to swim and lounge around the Infiniti pool enjoying the amazing view of the community and hills/valley. The workmanship on this house is amazing - the community felt safe and people were very friendly. Would recommend
