Amazing apt in historic city-centre

Great place in the middle of the historic city-centre. Museums, attractions, as well as bars, restaurants & shops are literally at your doorstep. My spacious apartment is newly renovated and has a modern feel. All appliances are brand-new. It features a Grohe rain-shower, super-fast wifi, digital TV & Netflix. My apartment is located in-between 3 lively squares (Waterlooplein; Nieuwmarkt, Rembrandtplein) - you can easily walk everywhere.

The boat is surprisingly spacious and inviting. You feel the pulse of the city from the life on the canals and the history of the boat as you walk across its 100 year old floors. The bells of the church in the background remind you the hours are passing but seemingly slower as you watch the rippling waves kiss the sides of the boat. It made me realize the canals are the veins and life blood of this city. Jaap was a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a life time staying on a houseboat

Edwin war sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann gut mit ihm plaudern und sich austauschen, aber sonst ist man ganz für sich. Das Haus liegt super zentral und man kommt zu Fuß überall hin. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Natürlich auch, um Pookie zu besuchen ;)

Van Westhouse #1 City centre canal house studio!

Il faut voir ce Airbnb comme une chambre d'hôtel et non comme un appartement. C'est petit, deux personnes maximum, et on ne peut pas cuisiner, il y a un four micro-ondes mais aucun poêle ni casserole. Par-contre il y a un minimum de vaisselle et un frigo, donc on peut se faire le petit-déjeuner et il y a plein de restos aux alentours où le take-out est disponible. Le logement est super bien situé pour les visites essentielles, je n'ai jamais pris ni le bus, ni le tram. Il y a une station de métro à 200 mètres et la station de train est à 10 minutes à pied. C'est très calme mais je recommande quand même des bouchons; on sursaute souvent quand un bruit vient d'une moto ou de quelques passants qui causent assez fort. Les avantages l'emportent largement sur les petits inconvénients. Assis à la petite table, en regardanty par la fenêtre, c'est un spectacle continuel de la vie quotidienne des résidents d'Amsterdam.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was so peaceful, private, and beautiful! We quickly felt right at home. Every evening, we looked forward to coming back to our room. We met the hostess, Leentje, upon arrival. She was lovely and quickly provided us with an umbrella for the day’s light rain. We hope to come back someday! Thank you, Leentje and Arnold!

In the Heart of the Flower Market. City Centre

My stay at David and Artem’s place could not have been better after my long flight from New Zealand. The directions were clear and the apartment is easy to find and a nice direct walk from Centraal Station. The location was right in the middle of the beautiful flower market, canals and a popular bar / entertainment area. So easy walks to cafe’s restaurants and bars and all the key sites to see in Amsterdam. I had no issues sleeping but if you need total peace and quiet it might pay to pack ear plugs on busy nights due to street noise. The room is triple glazed so normally there is no street noise just on weekend nights. Very comfortable bed! Thanks guys for making my stay in Amsterdam so enjoyable!
