As the listing states, no hot water! Very simple place with air conditioning, mini fridge, bed and bathroom. Stayed 3 nights (as one night was in corcovado national park) and they cleaned the place and replaced the toilet paper during our stay. truly beautiful view of Drake Bay. the view alone was worth it. Eric was very helpful. very happy with our stay here. also used Pacheco Tours for our guide in corcovado and Steven was amazing. would book here again.

#15 Cabana Privada Vista al Mar Jade Mar

PrzemysławRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Great place to stay in Drake Bay! Super peaceful - perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the nature around. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and we spotted toucans, iguanas, even some macaws right from the terrace, which was amazing. The host is really kind and takes great care of the guests. You’ve got everything you need here. There's even a washing machine and a spin dryer, which is super useful in this humid part of Costa Rica. If you're coming to Drake, this place is a great choice.
A tranquil pool reflects the surrounding greenery, with a modern bungalow nestled among lush foliage in the background. Natural stone elements harmonize with the landscape, and a shaded area is provided by the roof structure, offering a relaxing escape into nature.

Private Honeymoon Villa Colibri

AinsleyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with the place!!! It is up a mountain and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Uvita and everything you need! It feels like your own little piece of paradise surrounded by wild life and lots of beautiful plants. We saw a monkey in the tree upon arrival. The river is so close that you can hear it and it’s super peaceful!! Very beautiful water falls near by, the national park, and the beach!!! I will say I don’t know if we would’ve made it up the mountain and to the resort without a 4x4! Also, I must note that the upstairs and downstairs unit are separate. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. So, if you’re like me and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you do have to go outside and downstairs to use the bathroom!!! But it was really no problem. Incredible place for the price! Highly recommend 😌
A wooden house is nestled among lush tropical vegetation, surrounded by vibrant plants and trees. The structure features large windows that enhance the connection with the outdoors. Pathways lead through the garden, showcasing the serene setting against a backdrop of mountains.

Paradiselodge - Romantic Hideaway, next to Nauyaca

ArielRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I went to visit the place with my wife because of our second anniversary and everything was perfect. Accessing the place was super simple, the toilet that for me is the most important thing; impeccable. I had certain doubts as to privacy, because other guests said that the room was next to the main street and since we slept like a baby, we never heard anything. And no, the room is nothing near the main street. Breakfast (not included) was delicious and very nutritious. But the best part was Emanuel; our host. It really took the time to get to know us and make us feel right at home. To explain the place and recommendations of the area. We were not another guest, we were real guests. In the end, 10/10, to the point we hope to be back soon. Thank you for everything.

Casa Chaman 5 minutes from the beach

YanniRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The place is very nice, near the national park, the only thing is that pets are not allowed in the park, so consider that, but they are in the accommodation. If I had to give a criticism (without the desire to judge, but to contribute constructively) I would personally change the curtains for more privacy, and I wish it had air conditioning. Although for the price we paid, I feel like it was a super accommodation. It's not as hot as you'd think, the best thing is that it's Puntarenas and the beach, but with the two fans you can cool off. On the other hand, I'm a bit of a fool and I don't know how to use the gas stove. I wish they'd get an electric one for those of us who are afraid, don't know and/or are embarrassed to ask. Access is very simple and very comfortable, there are quite a few restaurants around, we didn't have much time to get to know everything but we would have loved it!

A cabin full of life, a beautiful place

JeffRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Yorleni's cabin is amazing - just as the pics show. The living areas face directly into the forest and you feel at one with nature, yet have all the great amenities of a modern home. We enjoyed viewing beautiful birds and butterflies as we sat in the living areas and kitchen - too cool! The woodwork throughout the cabin is beautiful and kitchen, bathroom and bedroom perfect. The bed was extremely roomy and comfortable with a high powered ceiling fan above to keep you cool. The place was so peaceful that we hated to leave. A great little cabin that we'll definitely try to visit again!

Glamping by the river

RyanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We spent an incredible 3 nights here. What an experience! So much wildlife! Howler, squirrel, and capuchin monkeys all over the place. Constant macaw and Amazon parrot chatter, plus basilisks, bats, and small caimans. It was amazing. So private and quiet. Such a positive change of pace from the overcrowded guided tours that are so prevalent in Costa Rica. I spent hours wandering the trails and wading up and down the river. Lack of A/C was not a problem as the fans kept the sleeping conditions quite nice. We did have a couple of our own blankets which I’m glad we brought for added comfort. Kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked all of our own meals. Stephanie is a super friendly and responsive host. Would definitely stay there again. Only word of caution is regarding the wifi: It works most of the time and was fine for emails and basic browsing but if you’re a full time digital nomad and need stable enough internet for Zoom calls etc it may be a challenge.
A tranquil beach scene is captured, featuring a calm blue ocean under a clear sky. Gentle waves lap against a pebble-strewn shore, while a distant sailboat is visible on the horizon. Lush palm fronds frame the left side of the image.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! I have stayed at a lot of places in Costa Rica, and this is surely one of the best. Kim and Maj are incredible hosts, feeling like family immediately. Going above and beyond for me in so many ways. The guesthouse is simply perfect with incredible views. The little kitchen has everything one needs to cook a tasty meal. And the bird life is fantastic! I look forward to returning :)

Nature Lovers Sunset Villa

JulieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We absolutely love Nancy's Villa! We stayed here last year, and it was an easy decision that we would stay again on this years trip. If you want the true Costa Rican wildlife experience, stay here. If you want breath taking views, stay here. If you want privacy & relaxation, stay here. We had everything that we needed for our stay. The water is good and hot, there is a kitchenette area and even a washer & dryer. So even though you feel very secluded, you have some luxuries. We enjoyed our afternoons in the pool when it was too hot to be in town. And you never know what wildlife you are going to see. On this trip we saw plenty of monkeys, toucans, parrots, coatis, blue morphos, lizards, humming birds, hawks, great curassows (rare) .... it truly is a bird lovers paradise! Nancy is always responsive, and quick to resolve any issues. We only had one with the water one day, but even with her being in FL, it was resolved within a couple hours. We can not wait to come back next year!
