Jungle cabin with forest view & kitchen, 1'

Ferdinand Und ElaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are spontaneously looking for the authentic CR followed our feeling. And we were not disappointed. The journey was spectacular but feasible with the all-wheel drive Jeep, including the river crossings. We were warmly welcomed and treated attentively and unobtrusively throughout our stay. The location is a dream and we found the days there were our most beautiful in CR.

Spacious bungalow 1' walk to the beach, Drake Bay

MichelleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was incredible. It is truly is paradise. The Airbnb was about 45 minutes in a taxi from the Drake Airport and it is a truly special place. It is away from the busy areas so you basically have your own private beach, yet access to do any of the activities the area is famous for. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure any tour arrangements and taxis were taken care of. You can easily take a boat from the beach to Cano Island or Corcovado National Park. Playa Josecito is around a 30 minutes walk which is a great spot to swim. The room was very comfortable and clean with the grounds being immaculate with incredible trees and plants. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to visit again!

Drake Bay, Casita Tangara

BernhardRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We stayed two nights with Johanna and Manuel and would come back any time. Everything is as described and well equipped, the accommodation is centrally located and can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from the beach. Manuel organized us a tour of the national park at very short notice (during the high season) and was even our guide. You can feel how much he loves this profession and the national park and we really saw a lot of animals and learned a lot.

Casa Jungla Hostel and Dolphin Quest Jungle Lodge

SarahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Dolphin Quest is a magical place. The location, combining jungle and ocean, is incredible. I spent three nights in Casa Jungla, a shared cabin that is simply beautiful. I spent hours on the balcony, looking at the trees and watching birds, monkeys, and other wildlife pass by (hi, anteater!). And then there's the food—wow. Fresh, locally grown, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The staff, owners, and volunteers are all lovely people who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's hard to put the experience of staying at Dolphin Quest into words, so just book your stay and see for yourself - you won’t regret it!

Two-story suite with a Jacuzzi

ZackeryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Los Contingas Lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is great—just off the beach on the main road, slightly up a hill. We arrived by boat from Sierpe, which was a fun experience, but be prepared to get your feet wet when landing on the beach. The stairs up to the lodge are a bit of a climb, but the view at the top is worth it. Breakfast and dinner were always delicious—highly recommend the quesadilla and one of their fresh smoothies! Our room was very clean with great water pressure, and we loved the open upstairs balcony and kitchen. The view was slightly obstructed by another lodge, but still beautiful. If an unobstructed view is a must, consider one of the other rooms. Would definitely stay here again!

Bungalows on Rincón Beach, Drake Bay

Great place to stay. The accommodation is comfortable, close to a quiet beach and has a communal dining room with lovely food. Plus there is wildlife to spot on your doorstep. Highly recommend staying here instead of Drake Bay.

The Jaguars Jungle - Seaside Rancho meals included

DanielleRating, 5 stars26 months ago
Wow wow wow! We had the best time at Jungla del Jaguar. From the second we got off the boat we felt very welcomed. Very laid back staff but in the way you want when you are in the jungle. There when you need them, social if you are in the mood and leave you be if you prefer. They made our experience that much better! The food was excellent! Very important when you don’t have any other option😂 We stayed in the Rancho and it was private- overlooked the coast and we slept like babies listening to the waves crash all night. There is no bathroom attached so if you aren’t keen in walking in the dark to a bathroom maybe think again. But, we will definitely be back and thank all the staff for making it a magical end to our holiday!

Ocean-View Jungle Villa w/ Pool & Wildlife

GiadaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Casa Namaste was an incredible place to spend my vacation near Uvita. The property is surrounded by the jungle and lush with vegetation and animals everywhere you turn. The views are incredible! This home is located off the beaten path but only 15 minutes away from downtown Uvita. The drive down to town is also very beautiful. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is needed to reach the home. The home was cozy and had everything I needed to cook and feel comfortable there for a week. I also thoroughly enjoyed the pool! If you're looking for a secluded home to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, Casa Namaste will not disappoint. The host was also wonderful – they were responsive, friendly, and made it easy to check-in and check-out. They provided recommendations and were very accommodating. Thank you! It was difficult to leave this beautiful place.

SusanBungalow 3 Drake Bay Corcovado Amaya Family

AnastasiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This cabin is super nice!! Amazing comfortable bed, small kitchen with all you need, nice bathroom with hot water, an outdoor shower, and a big deck with a dining table. It also has AC! We were really impressed with the space!! It’s also possible to drive right up to the cabin, which made arrival and departure easy. Susana was really responsive and made sure we had all we needed for our stay. It’s good to note a few things. Susana’s place is a part of a larger property with lots of accommodations so it can get quite busy. The cabin was up the hill and away from the main area, which we really appreciated. The bar on the property played really loud music. We couldn’t hear it at the cabin, but it was quite loud during the night walk. The restaurant has good food but very limited hours and only one option of meals, which you have to order 2 hours in advance so we were happy to have a kitchen!

Costa Rica Bungalow near Nauyaca Waterfall

ShereeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our host was great! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed from day one. Our location was very convenient. It is centrally located between Dominical Beach and San Isidro. And walking distance to Nauyaca Waterfalls. Nature surrounds this beautiful jungle park like destination. Every morning/day we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and butterflies! There are an amazing variety of birds to watch! Some days we got glimpses of the Agouti and the turkey-looking black birds with bright yellow beaks walking through. And the nature sounds were music to our ears! We took advantage of the lemon trees too! The private outdoor space was perfect for us and we used it daily, rain or shine. We were provided a carport for parking. The property is gated and safe.

Todd & Jill were fantastic, going above and beyond the call of duty! Responsive & attentive, considerate & accomodating, & just good ol' fashion nice people! They helped us with navigating our way to their beautiful & peaceful property in the jungle mountains! They blessed us and shared with us fruit from the crazy variety of things growing on their land! The view from the main bedroom and the front porch that you wake up to every morning is breath taking! We hiked & swam in the gorgeous stream and river that borders each side of the house! Todd & Jill both have an incredible love for people & their well being & are extremely knowledgeable about many things including food and whats really going on in the world! We were blessed to have a handful of conversations with them! We cant even truly begin to capture the essence in this write up of how amazing a visit to Todd & Jills really is! To whomever reads this, May you be blessed in Yhshwhs (Jesus) name! I wish i could say more! Cheers!

Bamboo Casita with private dipping stream

AveryRating, 5 stars25 months ago
I loved my 6 week stay at the bamboo house. It’s a perfect place for a personal retreat for yoga and mediation! It’s very quiet, no sound of traffic, only jungle noises and the stream next to it. I could hear the waves crashing at night! It is super private on its own property. You’ll get visits from monkeys in the trees. The location is prime! main highway in 5-7 minutes and from there Playa Hermosa is 1-2 minutes. Playa hermosa is great for surfing and sunsets. Uvita is 10 minutes away Dominical about 18. The outdoor porch has lots of room for activities. the stream is great to cool off in. The wifi was really good, i did lots of zoom calls without a problem. One must be comfortable with bugs. There’s no AC but there is a powerful fan. I slept comfortably at night under blankets! I was only able to sleep till 7:30-8:30 then I’d get too hot. I felt very safe as a solo female. I highly recommended staying at the Bamboo house if you’re looking for a rustic jungle experience. Need 4x4

A Unique Boho Style 2-BR, 1 Km to the Beach

TamaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The bungalow we stayed in was very well designed for the climate of Costa Rica. The wood paneled high ceilings with ventilation at the top kept the temperature comfortable with the help of fans. The beauty of the grounds and vegetation as well as the rain forest nearby meant there were many birds. The property is just off the road near the center of Uvita, making it both quiet and convenient. Pamela and Dave were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, spacious and attractive. We enjoyed the dipping pool. The fully equipped kitchen and living room had a number of nice personal touches. I especially liked the coffee chorreador and the bird identification book. All around this spot was a great fir for us and we will assuredly return!

Cinco Ventanas, near Ojochal

Melissas gem in the Jungle was amazing. I got to hang out in the jungle for 13 days and it was peaceful, relaxing and just right down exciting. Melissa’s home is so amazing, clean and new, her kitchen was amazing as it’s basically outdoors and well equiped. While I was making my breakfast , I was watching the birds fly around, and listening to the Howler monkeys. Mellisa is building a pool in the backyard along with a large deck, I cant wait to return to dive in. Melissa and Andy were extremely friendly and attentive, they definitely have the gift of hospitality. I will definitely return soon
