In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical – A True Escape from the World This was hands-down the most peaceful place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a different world—quiet, serene, and completely disconnected (literally—no cell service, which was honestly a huge plus). Wildlife sightings were incredible! We saw deer, elk, a fox, and even a bear while we were up on the hill nearby—amazingly, the bear was super friendly and just passing through. It was a surreal and unforgettable moment. If you’re looking for a true getaway to reset and reconnect with nature, this is the spot. It’s now my new favorite Airbnb, and I can’t wait to come back.

Such an incredible property! A little tough to find with no reception, but Nena was so responsive and helpful all throughout! From the friendly dogs, horses, and fish, we had an amazing time. Next time we know to reserve a whole day just to explore the property :)

We met up with Doug , who is friendly and easy to chat with . Plenty of activities are available , but this was a working trip for us... we were assisting our daughter and her family move to a new home nearby. Thankfully , the area is secluded and we slept great. Quiet hours are respected here. We felt welcome at the Ranch. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Secluded Wilderness Retreat

I knew three nights wouldn’t be enough. The pictures do not do this property justice. It is entirely peaceful and tranquil. Christian was an excellent host and cannot thank him enough for his help, recommendations, and conversation. The house was perfect. Full kitchen with everything you may need to prepare a meal. I appreciated the flowers! Amber did well to describe everything! It’s a long drive to the property and can be a little tricky to find the turnoff the first time, but her instructions got us there perfectly (gps on my phone also worked). We made it in fine during dry conditions. We hiked Crystal Creek (short drive away) and drove to the coast (not so short). You really don’t need to go anywhere once you’re there. Altogether, I appreciated the serenity. Thankful to have experienced this place and it will forever be in my memory. If we have the chance to make our way back, we definitely will. Exceptional!
