A quiet location, surrounded with well-established plants and trees, and a working farm behind, this is a place where you can relax, soak in the tranquillity, listen to the bird life, read a book or even paint while revelling in the ever-changing vista of the harbour below. If you are looking for a little more activity take advantage of the outdoors with harbour, beach and local walks close by.

The Studio

Welcome to my secluded, peaceful hideaway. The studio is a large open plan space. Large sliding doors completely open up the front of the building onto the deck, giving you a feeling of always being close to nature. Surrounded by trees, orchard, lawn and garden, the studio is a quiet retreat space. The sound of the sea and bird song are always in the background. It's 50m from our house and well hidden by trees, so you'll feel very private. The best beach in NZ is a 15 minute walk away!

Ohiwa Seascape Studios - Honey Loft

Wake to the sound of birdsong, waves crashing on the shore on the ocean beach below. Prepare your own breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen which opens out to the bush. This stunning location really is the best spot in Opotiki. Massive views out to sea and picturesque sunsets. The cottage is located up a private driveway with plenty of off road parking. There’s even room for your boat. We welcome dogs, but there is a fee of $50 per pet. The property is fully fenced which is fantastic for the kids. There is a paddock for the horse by arrangement. There is an outdoor shower for after beach visit. Only 2min drive to beach and cycle trail.

Enioy our slice of paradise at Waiotahe beach. This Tiny-Home-style bach is only 2 min walk to a beautiful swimming beach. Nestled away in Waiotahe drifts; a perfect get-away for a long weekend. The Beach hutts have all the comforts of modern living: ultra-fast broadband, Smart TV, an extra large shower, dishwasher, large BBQ and more. This large site has plenty of room for additional tents and caravans for larger families (power available). Dogs ok with conditions.

Plenty of off street parking. Within walking distance to the town center and the newly-built skate park, it’s also conveniently located to beaches, fishing, and the famous Motu cycle trail.

Sand Dune Studio

Kick back and relax with the sounds of the ocean in this calm, private space. The beach is a mere stroll away. Bring your bikes, you can park up and make use of the motu/dune bike trail which is accessible from just beyond the studio.
