Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Openshaw

A delightful, peaceful house to stay in for 5 nights. It was very clean and functional with 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 toilets, a washing machine, and a cosy sitting area with flat screened TV. We had full control of our own heating needs and access to a charming garden. It was fully equiped with all that was needed for our stay. Rosie was immediatety responsive to our messages. We have no hesitation in giving this house 5 stars as we intend to return when we next visit the area.

We've just spent a lovely week at this property in Hayfield. It was a great accommodation and perfectly matched our needs for our first ever visit to the Peak District. The local area and walks are stunning and varied in nature, everything from flat (dismantled railways) to the challenge of Kinder Scout. We spent hours walking and exploring but it was always a pleasure to return home at the end of a long day for a hot shower and comfortable surroundings. The excellent communication and simple check in/out made for a stress free stay. The house is well equipped and there are plenty of utensils in the kitchen but we didn't actually use them very much as eating out in the village pubs and restaurants was our preference after a long day in the hills. We had a fantastic time and would definitely return in the future.

We stayed here for two months as we were visiting family close by. For a long term stay, we can say without a doubt we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with herbs, spices, dishes and a variety of cooking tools. The bathroom had plenty of amenities for use. Spare bedding for change over days. Laundry facilities. Comfy bed with large tv for chill evenings. My husband and I were happy to have a ‘home’ to come home to after days out and about. There were stores nearby (Asda,Lidl, Starbucks etc) for groceries. Walking distance too. The house was very clean and there was even lovely thoughtful items such as bread and milk for us when we got there. Communication was great. Messages with questions responded to in a matter of minutes. Very kind and thoughtful hosts.

Jen’s place is cosy and homely, I felt right at home! Gorgeous bathroom and I particularly loved all the fairy lights, lamps and trinkets which made it feel so calm and welcoming.

We stayed for one night for a family party. Claire was responsive, helpful and the house was beautiful. It felt like a home from home and the little touches like milk, tea and crumpets being left were a really nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly what we needed - a quiet bolt hole in which to relax after the long journey to/from Manchester and the south. This meant that our dog was welcome too! Lovely grounds. Super clean and comfortable cottage with thoughtful touches so that you could relax immediately.

Amazing clean and tidy place which was perfect for a group of us visiting the peak district. The house had everything we needed and was the best equipt air bnb I have ever stayed in! Would definately recommend!!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing, I'm sure we will return. The cottage feels larger than it probably looks in the photos. The locals are very friendly and the country park is great for walking the dogs!

The stay at the loft was beautiful, it felt very cosy and homey there. Check in was easy and Nick was great at responding!

We only stayed at Carolain's place for 1 night but found it to be a great apartment. Perfect location to the Aviva Centre, and very responsive hosts.

We were visiting Buxton for 2 shows at the Opera House & the apartment is perfectly placed for this, being just a few minutes walk away, also the Pavilion Gardens and loads of places to eat & drink. Apartment is beautifully furnished and very well-equipped with pretty, sunny little cottage-style garden to front. The main bedroom is lovely, really comfortable bed. Our friend stayed in the basement bedroom and did comment that it was cold BUT he was very warm and comfortable once in bed. Wish we had stayed longer, if only to take advantage of the huge selection of dvds and books 😊. Thankyou, Heather, Kim and Lorna for a really great (too short) stay.

Chris was a welcoming and friendly host. Her place was spotlessly clean and perfect for a two person stay. We loved the hot tub and the view of the field and hills. Great to be able to access the countryside right from the cabin. Pubs within strolling distance - a great choice for a peaceful break.

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

Great place for a visit up to Manchester. Easily accessible off the motorway, easy to locate. Comfortable for both of us, just what we wanted. Highly recommended

Wow wow wow! What an amazing place to stay. Beautifully historic but with a modern touch to it and so spacious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family/friends. Jane was a very helpful host with offering recommendations on places to eat nearby too. Would really recommend The Swan Inn. The only downside is the 10am check out policy (we felt this was quite early).
