Apartment vacation rentals in Ōkunoshima

No larger than a hotel room, but has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Easy walking distance from the start of the bike route and train station, plus lots of great places to eat nearby. Too small for a family, but perfect for a couple coming in for the biking.

I had a wonderful stay. The area was very peaceful and the recommended restaurants were good. Would definitely visit again.

A convenient location within a short walk from downtown Fukuyama and important sights like the Rose Garden. A free parking was quite a bonus, as we arrived later than expected, and renting a car from the airport was very convenient. Hope to return to the Rose Festival again.

Great location close to to station, and the bike rental shop if you are planning to cycle the Shimanami Kaido. The room is clean and modern, and the host was very friendly and responsive.

An amazing space, just 15 minute walk from Fukuyama station as well as many local restaurants. The place was very clean with a nice living space.

駅に近く、大手スーパー近く、飲食店周辺に多数あり　少し歩く範囲にあり助かりました。みなさんが、気にされている洗濯乾燥機の乾燥が悪いような事が書かれていましたが　厚手のものじゃなければ　時間をかければ　特に気になることは無かったです、前の晩に洗濯始めて　よく朝には乾いている感じで のんびりと　過ごせて　良かったです、また利用したいと思います

Great location if you want to do the Shimanami Kaido the next morning since its very close to the ferry port (although a bit far from the train station). The appartment was clean and quiet at night, only small criticism would be that you dont really have a view (unless you like looking at a different building 3 meters away from you. All in all, for that price definetly a good deal.

Great place to stay. You'll find everything you could ever need. Perfectly clean, great shower, comfortable bed, TV and beamer for entertainment. The rental bike provided is perfect for exploring the beautiful nature in the surrounding mountains. Yayoi is the perfect host, super friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

Yasuhiro’s place was very clean. This is a good place to stay if you are looking to bike the shimanami kaido. I would stay here again.

The apartment has a twin and single bed, a couch, a large working desk and chair, along with an eat-in kitchen. There's plenty of space to cook and its always nice to have a toaster oven in Japan, while there's actually seasonings and oil (rare). The place is plenty large and there's extra storage in the hallway. The hosts are actually hosts and communicate well, while being attentive to any needs. So many AirBnB's are remotely managed by faceless companies nowadays--that is not the case here. I got to meet both of them and have a long and pleasant talk. The level of hospitality is high overall and was appreciated. There's a bit of road noise and you're 5-10m from the nearest bus stop.

planned to cycle around shimanami kaido, and found this place. It was easy to find and the check-in was smooth. The room was clean, and trust me, it is better than living in a hotel. You get all the amenities as well. As a person who would like to do laundries myself, I won't pay extra $ for hotel laundry service. There is a washing machine in the room which you can use, hangers at the balcony. Overall it was a great experience. If I want to visit onomichi again, this will be my first pick.
