Ok let's be honest, if you are looking for any kind of luxury, this is not the place for you. If you want an authentic, rural Mexican experience, this is the place, there are bugs, animals outside, roosters, dogs etc. It was just what I wanted & to be close by some amazing cenotes. Alex's place was as described. it was very clean, has hot water & internet. Note that there is zero cell reception. Luci, the neighbor that manages the house was wonderful and helped us troubleshoot any issues or questions we had. Speaking Spanish would be very helpful if you stay here. Do take your own drinking water or purchase at the local store. The locals are very warm and friendly and happy to help and give directions when engaged. We had a fantastic stay.

Incredibly beautiful home. Spotless. Everything new. Quiet neighborhood. Responsive hosts. Host provided many essentials and some non-essentials such as water, coffee, garbage bags, paper towels, salt, pepper, cooking oil, napkins, etc. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes. This is a top-notch accommodation at a very good rate.

Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well-equipped place. Definitely recommended.

Excellent location, a really beautiful apartment, we spent 8 days for my husband's recovery and it was amazing to 🫢 wake up and see the lake. Wow, that's priceless, an incredibly beautiful view, we could go for a quiet walk. I felt at home and Charito's service was wonderful, she was always attentive, and when I had any questions she answered quickly, she was very kind and friendly. Rating 11 out of 10. When I return to Merida I will definitely stay here again.
