Charming “chapel” in the north German Bullerbü

Our small "chapel" is located on a former farm between the Schlei and the Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Peacefully nestled between meadows, fields and moors lies our unmistakable "mini village". Four families live with us, with a total of five children, as well as a friendly Hovawart dog, four cats, a rooster and two hens. All two and four-legged friends run free on the premises, there are no fences or gates with us.

Mareike's apartment is super cozy. I was there in the winter, and I was able to make it totally cozy and warm. A trip by car to the Baltic Sea and Flensburg is very easy to do. And if you stay in the apartment, it is very quiet.

The 10-day stay with Karin was very pleasant. The apartment has everything you need, is very clean and very quiet. And yes, I saw the deer too. I came by train, and Karin picked me up at the station. Although the house is a bit remote, I could reach everything well on foot, about 15 min. to Schloss Gottorf, 20, 25 min. to the train station, about 20 min. to the nearest grocery store, about 15 min. to the nearest bus stop. A little further away are the city center and the city harbor. Unfortunately, the only local bike rental was just closed, but there is bike sharing, the nearest station at Schloss Gottorf. So I could also get to the city center easily by bus or bicycle. Karin is very helpful and responds promptly to messages. Should I come to Schleswig again, I will be happy to rent the apartment again.

Super great, self-developed car. Very smart solutions for toilet, bed and table, the best was made of the small room. The view of the unspoiled nature is beautiful, and both check-in and communication were great. We even had firewood and freshly cut flowers on the table. Currently, the neighboring property is being built, which is extremely loud, but hopefully that will be over soon. For vegans like me, the directly adjacent keeping of cows (fattening) incl. Nose rings to prevent suction are of course somewhat stressful, but this is certainly a problem for a few tenants. In wet weather, you are dependent on the interior of the car, or should, for example, bring a small roof/tent to sit outside. However, there is an awning for very hot days. I would book the great car again and again and we had great days.

Hella's apartment has a lot of attention to detail - great decor: practical, stylish and cozy. The highlight is definitely the view over the Schlei, but also additional advantages, such as a complete, very functional mini-kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle - everything included and well stowed away. And the practical garage parking space around the corner, which also appears more burglar-proof with security grilles. Hella was super attentive, sweet and accommodating from the beginning and tried to make everything possible. Check-in is very straightforward.
