We had a great stay is this little museum. Friendly host with lots of knowledge and stories about the area and the house. If you expect a hotel room, don’t go here. If you want peace and quiet in a great historical setting with all the creature comforts. Try this.

We enjoyed our holiday at the “old station”👍with lots of soul. A lovely peaceful area and not far to Notodden. Everything was perfect🙏

We felt at home with Merethe and Elling, Elling and Merethe immediately helped when we needed something (thank you again for the skis and shoes🙏). We were thrilled and would come back to this place any time.

We had a lovely time staying with our little one at Kristine 's. the house is huge and very child-friendly. The garden is beautiful with great view. Quick access hiking trails across the university. Nice hostess.

The house is lovingly decorated and we discovered many beautiful details. In the kitchen there is everything you need for cooking. A personal contact with Kristin did not take place (it was also not necessary, as everything went smoothly), but she responded quickly to inquiries. We highly recommend a stay.

We had a great trip to Knut Erling's cabin and the view of Gaustatoppen was amazing. We would gladly came back!

Spacious and comfortable house with plenty of room for the whole family, and it’s equipped with all the amenities you could need.

The 'hytte' is fantastic, very comfortable with a beautiful kitchen. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. There are many little streams gurgling by, one about five feet from the porch. We had a fire pit and watched the blue slowly drain from the sky. There are three bed rooms so you can bring a large crew. We recommend it highly!

We had a wonderful stay in Skien! The host was incredibly responsive, answering our questions swiftly and making sure we had everything we needed. A special touch was the thoughtful gesture of putting out toys for our daughters, which they absolutely loved. The view from the living room was breathtaking, especially in the evenings and at night. We enjoyed relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

The home is sustainable and cozy, we could have fired up the fireplace in the evenings, an infinitely beautiful view through the windows!!! Peaceful environment and we were able to feel at home!!! We had an absolutely wonderful 3 nite stay at Jan-Eilert & Cecilia’s charming farmhouse overlooking the lake. The setting was peaceful & incredibly scenic-waking up to the view each morning was truly magical. The house itself was warm, cosy & full of character. The rooms were tastefully decorated with attention to details that make us feel at home. The fireplace added a lovely touch, especially in the evenings. Jan-Eilert & Cecilie were such gracious & welcoming hosts. We enjoyed the conversations with them & the care they put into making our stay comfortable. The availability of a baby chair is a plus for our 1 yr old infant. Their lovely dogs were a joy to be around. This stay was more than just a getaway- it was a unique experience of nature, warmth & connection. We would return in a heartbeat & recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a special retreat.

Perfect stay close by the city sentrum. Silje is very kind and is offering a nice place to relax with many spots in the garden where to rest. You can easily get to the Airbnb by walking, also, shopping centre is at 5mim walking distance.

Second time renting this apartment. Had a great stay and the apartment is in a great location with walking distance to everything you need.

Sweet cabine in the middle of the woods. We visited over new years, very lovely and quite place. Lots of good opportunities for hiking our enjoying the outdoors.

We had four lovely days at Ellen's apartment in Bolkesjø and on Blefjell. The apartment is authentic and very clean and nice. It had everything we needed. We drove just 10 kilometers by car to reach Blefjell, where we enjoyed skiing. This was a very beautiful area. Ellen was super sweet and helped us with recommendations for the area.

A lovely place to come to be able to unplug 100% from everyday life. Beautiful view. Also got a good explanation of where we could walk up on the oak map peak that can be highly recommended. Easy trip that took us a total of 1 hour. Only 10 minutes drive from the place. In addition to the view, the goats and dog Dagny were great entertainment from the window. Local cider and eggs from the hens helped put the icing on the cake for us. All in all a wonderful stay for a couple with child-free🤗

We had a fantastic time here! Everybody in the group (7 adults 3 kids) was very happy and despite the variety of age and interest no one felt dissatisfied. During the days some of us took a car and drove out and others took food in a rucksack and walked out. The house has plenty of space! We could have been a few people more and it would not have been a problem. The pictures does not do it justice. The house is to a high standard and the views are stunning!
