Family-friendly vacation rentals in Nosara

This was a little slice of heaven in Nosara and could not have been in a better location. Truly an unforgettable stay!! Our host, Brian, was quick to respond to questions and helped ensure we had a great time.

We had a great stay - awesome location, AC worked great, and we made good use of the pool. Would def stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the House of G. Favourite things about this place were the views of the ocean, the mix of fruit trees, hearing howler monkeys, bird watching (and listening), and the modern architecture. Air conditioning was only on the upper floor bedrooms, so the upper bathrm was hot and the lower level got pretty hot too. The ceiling fans helped and so did the breeze. On the plus side, it forced us to use the outdoor living space more than we probably would have if the lower level had a/c and the pool/outdoor shower offered a quick refresher when needed. The place required a key transfer from super friendly Luis. It would have been easier and more private if there was a lock box setup, but then we wouldn’t have met Luis, so key swapped worked out just fine. We found it easier to make the quick drive to Samara than walk, to avoid walking on the narrow main road. It was easy to find on street parking in Samara. Thank you Shannon for hosting & Luis for managing the property!

We were looking for a quiet place for a getaway - and the village and house were perfect. The highlight for our kids was the trampolinie and pool. We spent more time at the house than the beach that was very close because the kids were happy. We value communication and information, and the hosts communicated before and throughout our stay whenever we had questions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and my wife has said, "We need to do this more often!" That's a win in my book!

Staying at Rancho De Linda was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the lush Costa Rican jungle on the beach, it offers the perfect blend of natural charm to fully immerse yourself in the local ecosystem. The property is surrounded by vibrant wildlife — from colorful frogs, friendly iguanas, beautiful butterfly’s, hermit crabs and chirping birds. The views are breathtaking and the sounds of the ocean are mesmerizing — making it a true ecological retreat. Douglas and Irena were delightful hosts. We enjoyed visits from their sweet pup Bambi and loved the availability of the housekeeper. The place is very clean and well taken care of. We loved our Yoga class Irena taught under the palapa and enjoyed the delicious cooking of two local chefs. We drove into Tamarindo for the day and visited the Diamanté Eco Adventure Park for a thrilling zip line. Wow, what a beautiful spot. The views are breathtaking, surrounded by 180 degrees of jungle canopy and the ocean below. The pictures really don't do it justice. Torrie and Esthefan met us to personally take us to the villa upon arrival, which is a short 5 minute drive from the town and beaches of Samara and was a great jumping-off spot for adventures. We spent mornings in town, or exploring nearby waterfalls and beaches, and afternoons cooling down by the pool or relaxing in the shade with a book. The outdoor bbq and well equipped kitchen was perfect for making meals, and we had a local family of monkeys visit us daily, along with Coaties, lizards, frogs, crabs and a variety of birds. The villa was equipped with lots of fans, which were welcomed as there is no A/C in the villa, and with temps reaching 100 degrees the fans were very much needed at night. We had a great time and look forward to returning to this beautiful spot one day. Thanks for an amazing time!

Staying at Maria y Cedric’s is like being at home… except in one of the most beautiful places in the world! The hosts are amazing people who are very responsive and accommodating, letting us know about local events and businesses, as well as making sure we felt comfortable, relaxed, and welcomed. We came to stay at a beautiful place and relax, getting away from the daily rush of our lives… and by the time we left, we had gained amazing friends!

Adrianne’s house is a dream. The private path to the beach was so serene. The pool was a life saver on hot afternoons. Grace, the property manager, was AMAZING! She organized everything from transportation to dinner reservations, horseback riding, turtle nesting in Ostional, massages and more. She was always accessible too! She made our vacation seamless. Sunset dinner at Coyol is a must! We love Nosara and Adrianne’s beautiful house had the perfect accommodations for our 3 families!! Pura Vida!!

Great location only a stroll to the gilded iguana and many other great spots. Place felt very big and more than enough for 2 kids and 2 adults. Would and definitely am staying again! Simone also made it very easy to have a car waiting at the airport for us and arrange any thing we needed to make the trip seamless.

Special spot in Nosara! Everything was walkable, and there were a lot of restaurants to choose from within 5-10 mins. We loved that the beach was less than a 5 min walk! Dave was extremely kind and felt safe during my whole time. his Airbnb is exactly as described and just like the photos easy access getting in and out he even has a cute cat that will greet you by the door!! Definitely recommend staying at the spot if you’re single, coupled, or have a small child. Bonus, Dave offered to do laundry (for a price for others) which saved our booty!!! Yay!

What a perfect stay! The place is better than the photos, spacious inside and out, up in the hills, beautiful view, tucked away in the jungle. Excellent pool. Jennifer is a great host, excellent communication, helpful, friendly and accommodating. This place is ideal for a getaway. Perfect location close to the main town and beaches. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and very comfortable stay! Well shaded and a nice retreat from the midday sun. Location was perfect - quiet but very close to beach, town and amenities. If you plan on cooking, be sure to bring or purchase cooking basics (salt pepper etc) as was not available in the home.

Está muy cerca de la playa, se puede llegar caminando, además la playa nos pareció muy bonita, tiene muchos restaurantes a la orilla de la playa que le dan un toque especial, además de canchas de voleibol, fútbol y cerca hacen diferentes tours. Sarina nos recomendó unos y pudimos hacer el de delfines y snorkel. Además el lugar tenía lo que necesitábamos, una vista hermosa y se escuchaba el mar desde el alojamiento.

LOVED this place for our 8 days in Nosara! The beach was close, tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance and the pool was perfect!

This place was more than we could have hoped for. Åsa’s place is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated and is full of character. It is incredibly private despite having neighbors nearby. What stood out the most was the view. We all spent our mornings sitting outside, soaking it in. Grateful to have had this place to share an unforgettable week in Nosara with friends.

This house was perfect for our family vacation in Nosara! We loved the private yard and spacious pool. The beach is just a short walk away as well as the shops and restaurants in town. We enjoyed the backyard visits from multiple Coatis and tropical birds. Hope to come back for another visit!!

La estancia en casa tranquila fue increíble nos sentimos como en casa nos encantó la zona muy tranquila para descansar y rodeados de la naturaleza .La cocina estaba muy bien equipada y la lavadora y la secadora nos fue muy útil ya que estuvo lloviendo y la ropa no se secaba, vidal fue muy amable con nosotros nos dio buenas recomendaciones de lugares para visitar. La limpieza es buena , lo único que puedo recomendar es que si van a rentar se aseguren de llevar un carro 4x4 ya que la subida si está un poco pesada y las distancias a las playas si son un poco retiradas. Sin duda nos volveremos a quedar en casa tranquila las próximas vacaciones .

Just wrapped up a 2 week stay. Pros: A+ location, clean inside and out, really good internet, pool was refreshing with a really good jungle backdrop, all appliances worked, the host and cleaning service were both super helpful. Cons: the beds are kinda old or cheap, can’t tell which and couch is almost unusable it’s so stiff which really only leaves the bare wood chairs outside to sit in. If you’re looking for ‘comfortable’ places to relax this may not be the best match. All in all it’s a lovely little casita, but could use a refresh on the creature comforts.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der Unterkunft von Chris. Er hat uns persönlich begrüsst, super Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben und eine Schale mit frischen Früchten bereit gestellt. Die Einrichtung war so wie beschrieben und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir waren zu viert in der geräumigen Wohnung. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Von Vorteil ist sicher, wenn man ein Mietauto hat, um auch die schöne Umgebung unabhängig zu erkunden.

Très bel endroit propre et spacieux ! La maison est situé au bout du chemin, donc on a l’impression d’être seul. C’est très calme et intime. L’énorme piscine a été un succès pour les enfants! Je suggère d’aller à la plage Carrillo, elle est plus authentique et les couchers de soleil sont magnifique!

Muy tranquilo y silencioso, bastante limpio y muy bien equipada la casa, bastante cerca de la playa, solo un poco viejos los ventiladores por lo que puede hacer un poco de calor y la vegetación ayuda a refrescar la casa, el vehículo debe quedar afuera pero queda a escasos 50 metros de la casa pero es muy tranquilo así que es seguro, Johannes es un excelente anfitrión, siempre al pendiente de todo, definitivamente volvería a hospedar en esta casa.

The local management team was great with arrival check in, and responding to any questions and concerns throughout the week. The master bed was very creaky, as in, it made noise every time I moved throughout the night. I felt little silly texting the team to complain, but they sent a maintenance worker within 2 hours to tighten up the bed frame. And like magic, I was able to sleep through the night! Coffee maker, fridge, AC, etc were all great. It's a little bit out of town, which was fine with us for the busy holiday. I wish I called earlier about renting ATV, we had a difficult time renting ATV during busy week. The local management team helped us find one for a couple of days. And then we managed with our rental car from LIR.

C'est une très grande maison, qui n'est pas neuve bien sûr, mais agréable, j'avais besoin d'un coin pour relaxer et c'était l'endroit idéale , on n'a manqué d'électricité pendant quelques heures , mais rien de bien problématique l'électricité est un peu instable , sa nous as tous permis de décrocher de nos téléphone cellulaire et en profiter pour lire et faire une sieste.. Il faut absolument un bon véhicule pour ce rendre a la maison, ce n'est pas accessible au petit voiture .. Il faut , comme les autres cabane du pays, laisser les porte et moustiquaire fermé pour éviter de ce retrouver avec des insecte ...dans l'ensemble j'ai adoré me reposer dans cette grande maison.

Can’t beat this location for proximity to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops and surfboard rental. The accommodations are comfortable with a great yard and pool. We really enjoyed our stay. Alex was very responsive, a welcoming host who even helped us out with our laundry. The parking is secure. We can’t wait to come back again!
