Family-friendly vacation rentals in Nosara

We had a lovely stay at the House of G. Favourite things about this place were the views of the ocean, the mix of fruit trees, hearing howler monkeys, bird watching (and listening), and the modern architecture. Air conditioning was only on the upper floor bedrooms, so the upper bathrm was hot and the lower level got pretty hot too. The ceiling fans helped and so did the breeze. On the plus side, it forced us to use the outdoor living space more than we probably would have if the lower level had a/c and the pool/outdoor shower offered a quick refresher when needed. The place required a key transfer from super friendly Luis. It would have been easier and more private if there was a lock box setup, but then we wouldn’t have met Luis, so key swapped worked out just fine. We found it easier to make the quick drive to Samara than walk, to avoid walking on the narrow main road. It was easy to find on street parking in Samara. Thank you Shannon for hosting & Luis for managing the property!

Very nice place with everything we needed! The backyard/pool area was awesome. The road in front was a bit rough but on our second to last day, crews were working on it. Highly recommend the pizza place nearby and the French bakery on the way into town. Downtown Samara and beach are about a half mile away. There was a planned power outage one of the days we were there and Juliane was awesome at keeping us in the know!

Staying at Rancho De Linda was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the lush Costa Rican jungle on the beach, it offers the perfect blend of natural charm to fully immerse yourself in the local ecosystem. The property is surrounded by vibrant wildlife — from colorful frogs, friendly iguanas, beautiful butterfly’s, hermit crabs and chirping birds. The views are breathtaking and the sounds of the ocean are mesmerizing — making it a true ecological retreat. Douglas and Irena were delightful hosts. We enjoyed visits from their sweet pup Bambi and loved the availability of the housekeeper. The place is very clean and well taken care of. We loved our Yoga class Irena taught under the palapa and enjoyed the delicious cooking of two local chefs. We drove into Tamarindo for the day and visited the Diamanté Eco Adventure Park for a thrilling zip line. Our stay was incredible. The pictures don’t do it justice. Our kids were on a high from everything this home offers. Waking up to sun bathing iguanas, catch and release of hermit crabs in the backyard, walking to an extremely unpopulated beach, a resort restaurant just steps away, and a view from every angle of the house that just takes your breath away. Doug and his wife were the best hosts. My son and husband caught a 250lb fish on their excursion that Doug recommended with costa catch! We hit up Doug’s surf shop for the most incredible pizza pop up. There were no televisions in the house which was just what our family needed! A movie on an iPad was a real treat half way through our stay. Highly recommend!!!

Wow, what a beautiful spot. The views are breathtaking, surrounded by 180 degrees of jungle canopy and the ocean below. The pictures really don't do it justice. Torrie and Esthefan met us to personally take us to the villa upon arrival, which is a short 5 minute drive from the town and beaches of Samara and was a great jumping-off spot for adventures. We spent mornings in town, or exploring nearby waterfalls and beaches, and afternoons cooling down by the pool or relaxing in the shade with a book. The outdoor bbq and well equipped kitchen was perfect for making meals, and we had a local family of monkeys visit us daily, along with Coaties, lizards, frogs, crabs and a variety of birds. The villa was equipped with lots of fans, which were welcomed as there is no A/C in the villa, and with temps reaching 100 degrees the fans were very much needed at night. We had a great time and look forward to returning to this beautiful spot one day. Thanks for an amazing time!

Nosara Blue was amazing for our family of four. The house was easy to find, clean, and felt very safe. The onsite security attendants were incredibly nice and helpful. The pool was a treat in the mid-day heat and the dogs were one of the highlights of our stay! Quick walk to the beach, close to restaurants and a market..the location was perfect for us. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Can’t recommend Nosara Blue enough!

Great place for a group to hang out. The house was clean, comfortable, and the pool was awesome. Mihail was super responsive to our many questions. We felt really tended to and cared for. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location only a stroll to the gilded iguana and many other great spots. Place felt very big and more than enough for 2 kids and 2 adults. Would and definitely am staying again! Simone also made it very easy to have a car waiting at the airport for us and arrange any thing we needed to make the trip seamless.

Special spot in Nosara! Everything was walkable, and there were a lot of restaurants to choose from within 5-10 mins. We loved that the beach was less than a 5 min walk! Dave was extremely kind and felt safe during my whole time. his Airbnb is exactly as described and just like the photos easy access getting in and out he even has a cute cat that will greet you by the door!! Definitely recommend staying at the spot if you’re single, coupled, or have a small child. Bonus, Dave offered to do laundry (for a price for others) which saved our booty!!! Yay!

Very beautiful and unfortunately too short stay. The accommodation is very well located, quiet and close to the sea and at the same time a few minutes walk from the center. Clearly communicated check-in and check-out formalities. All the necessary amenities were available including pool towels, which was really much appreciated and used! I highly recommend this listing!

What a perfect stay! The place is better than the photos, spacious inside and out, up in the hills, beautiful view, tucked away in the jungle. Excellent pool. Jennifer is a great host, excellent communication, helpful, friendly and accommodating. This place is ideal for a getaway. Perfect location close to the main town and beaches. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and very comfortable stay! Well shaded and a nice retreat from the midday sun. Location was perfect - quiet but very close to beach, town and amenities. If you plan on cooking, be sure to bring or purchase cooking basics (salt pepper etc) as was not available in the home.

This place was more than we could have hoped for. Åsa’s place is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated and is full of character. It is incredibly private despite having neighbors nearby. What stood out the most was the view. We all spent our mornings sitting outside, soaking it in. Grateful to have had this place to share an unforgettable week in Nosara with friends.

This house was perfect for our family vacation in Nosara! We loved the private yard and spacious pool. The beach is just a short walk away as well as the shops and restaurants in town. We enjoyed the backyard visits from multiple Coatis and tropical birds. Hope to come back for another visit!!

Great house for a family. Kids loved it. We loved hanging out on the patio. You need a car for this location with a family.

The stay in a quiet house was incredible. We felt like home we loved the very quiet area to rest and surrounded by nature. The kitchen was very well equipped and the washer and dryer was very useful as it was raining and the clothes did not dry, vidal was very kind to us gave us good recommendations of places to visit. The cleanliness is good , the only thing I can recommend is that if they are going to wash they make sure to bring a 4x4 car since the climb is a little heavy and the distances to the beaches if they are a little removed. We will definitely stay at home again for the next holidays .

Stayed at Chris's treehouse for a month over the holidays and had an amazing time. The outdoor area on the second floor is a beautiful place to hang out anytime of the day and made you feel like you're right in the jungle. There was a great local soda and Chris's place is super close to several fantastic beaches. Highly recommend Chris's place for a long or short stay. Thanks for everything Chris

Lovely clean and spacious place! The house is located at the end of the path, so you feel like you're alone. It is very quiet and intimate. The huge pool was a success for children! I suggest going to Carrillo Beach, it's more authentic and the sunsets are beautiful!

It is very close to the beach, you can walk there, and the beach seemed very nice, it has many restaurants on the beach that give it a special touch, as well as volleyball courts, soccer and different tours nearby. Sarina recommended some to us and we were able to do the dolphin and snorkel one. In addition, the place had what we needed, a beautiful view and you could hear the sea from the accommodation.

LOVED this place for our 8 days in Nosara! The beach was close, tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance and the pool was perfect!

Very quiet and peaceful, quite clean and very well-equipped house, quite close to the beach, the fans are just a little old so it can get a little hot and the vegetation helps to cool the house, the vehicle must be left outside but it is only 50 meters from the house but it is very quiet so it is safe, Johannes is an excellent host, always attentive to everything, I would definitely stay in this house again.

Excellent location with amazing views and next to a beautiful resort. That gives one resort level amenities minus the nightly cost. A little over an hour to Tamarindo and 40 minutes to Nosara and beautiful drives each way.

Jake's place was perfect for our family of six. The home is beautiful with open space and lots of natural light. The beds were comfortable. We loved the back porch with the big porch swing and tables. This place is just as described and the perfect location for a quiet stay at the top of the mountain.
