Cottage vacation rentals in Northern Europe

We had a blissful time at the granary and would definitely recommend this place to others. It’s a beautiful building but the grounds of Coes Farm and the added bonus of having a pool (which if you are lucky is essentially a private pool all to yourself as it was always empty when we went in) make it an amazing place to unwind and rest. The property had everything we needed, including some little ducks who came to the back door to welcome us! We would also recommend a trip to Canterbury while you are here, it is a beautiful place to visit.

The place is very quiet with a wonderful view. In the numerous details, you can immediately see how much love and effort has been invested. It almost feels like you're living in a work of art. If I had to give a recommendation to Sweden newcomers, art lovers or a group, it would be this!

We enjoyed a wonderful few days stay at Ploughman's Cottage. It is so homely and comfortable and in a beautiful location with a view over the loch. It's a great place to relax and also in a great location for enjoying the sights and scenery of Argyll. Very well equipped with everything we needed the cottage really is the perfect getaway. Highly recommend a stay here!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, inside & out. Internally the decor is all amazing and very thoughtfully designed and very luxurious. The location is perfect to explore all corners of Cornwall. Kate is a superb host who made us feel extra special with all the welcome treats. The hottub & sauna are a great way to relax after a long day of walking with our dogs. We had the best time here but it was all too short. We’ll certainly be back!

We were incredibly comfortable from the first moment. The location is totally idyllic and just perfect to unwind. The view of the water, especially in the morning, but actually throughout the day, was always beautiful. Perfect for switching off and taking a deep breath. The little boat trip was a real highlight, just like the whirlpool and sauna, especially in the rainy weather. Almost like a little spa wellness day. The winter garden was also totally cozy. We played a lot there and just relaxed. Everything is lovingly designed, thoughtful and very well maintained. Fredrik and Patrik are great hosts, they always responded quickly, were super helpful and warm. We felt completely well taken care of and will definitely be happy to come back. Me and my partner stayed at this place as a weekend getaway and loved it! It was so peaceful and relaxing to be there, we loved it. The property was so cosy! The bed was divine, and I was particular impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was. The hot tub too was great. On top of that Sarah was particularly helpful, she gave us recommendations in the area, and even helped my partner by posting some low jewellery after we left. Her and her partner were so helpful when we stayed! We’ll be back as we loved it

We had such a wonderful stay at Lilijana's lovely and peaceful fairytale cottage! It was so comfortable and I slept better here than I have in ages. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed having sheep as our closest neighbors. Also, the kitchen was a joy to cook in, having everything you could possibly need. In addition, we loved that we were met by the host and her daughter and they showed us around their family house. Lastly, the special touches like homemade jam and a vase overflowing with fresh flowers made our stay even more perfect!

This place was just perfect for this town. Loved the house- the apartment inside was very clean, beautiful views out the windows, beds comfy, supplies in kitchen and some soaps in bathroom and laundry detergent available…everything we needed. Both hosts were very responsive. Even brought extra towels when we needed some. Hope to return one day!

Anna has created a perfect place to relax, here you can only feel comfortable. There are many spots that invite you to linger. You have perfect privacy, but it's not far from the action. The cottage is cozy, small and superbly equipped, nothing is missing. The communication with Anna is warm, you feel super taken care of. We didn't miss the WiFi or the TV, you can just switch off in peace, perfect for digital detox. Berta and Fernando (the two highland cattle) are immediately included in the heart. A perfect vacation for us!

Rita's place (we called it the "Stone House") is absolutely beautiful and superbly comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has a great espresso machine all setup for your use! It is very close (by car) to many nearby towns with lots of restaurants and interesting sights. It served as the perfect "basecamp" for our party of four, while exploring the nearby area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Rita's place and would have loved to stay much longer!

We had a perfect stay at Roughstones. A warm welcome from Catherine and the most delicious cake! The views were amazing and we enjoyed relaxing in our own private garden. Inside was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with comfortable seating and bed.The kitchen was very well equipped. Ideally located for us with visits to Scone Palace and Blair Castle.

Dot Cottage was a feast for the eyes. The decor made it lots of things to look at, make it interesting and very colourful. We found it beautiful and interesting. It was central to all around Rye and opposite Chocolate shop which was very good.

What an idyllic place with stunning views - exactly like the photos. We were a little worried because we travelled with our toddler, but Tracy answered any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cecilia's place- the views from the living room and the yard are absolutely incredible. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked, and the surroundings made this place worth every cent. This is an older home with lots of charm and a few quirks, but Cecilia was extremely helpful and responsive, and even sent someone to check on the wifi when we were having trouble with it. The house is private and quiet, but you could be at the beach in just a few minutes by car. We walked along the Kerry Way and enjoyed the beautiful farmlands and countryside, with a view of the water and the mountains beyond it. This place is a perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the beach and the countryside all in one.

The Flora cottage had absolutely everything we needed, even all the kitchen ware, binoculars, a walking stick, truly everything. Anna Maria also had a delicious homemade cake waiting for us. Everything was perfect. And she was so kind and helpful always. Highly recommended!!

Imagine “The Holiday” vibes— so cute! So cozy! Right next to an old church and even has a fun hike to an old Roman Villa built in 300 A.D. that you can check out and be amongst the pastoral countryside of England! So quaint and cute and I loved that it was a great location to do the North Cotswold area And the south end…. So it was a little bit in the middle of both and perfect! So peaceful, so beautiful and the beds weren’t too bad either! Big bonus was the parking was plenty and still private !

We had a lovely 4 night stay at William & Chris' place.The instructions to find the place were clear & easy to follow & William came by once we'd settled in to say hi & gave some good advice about local walks & things to do in poor weather.The accommodation is beautifully situated, clean & plenty of amenities.The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of equipment & cooking utensils.There was a set of towels each & a washing machine to use if needed.There weren't any toiletries but we'd brought our own anyway.Very friendly chickens that appeared out of no where as soon as you opened the door!The only main issue we had was with the heat-due to the position of the large windows it trapped all the heat inside & we couldn't open the doors to let any air through due to the chickens & flies coming in,so it was a bit uncomfortable.There is a long narrow road & track up to the house, the last bit of which had quite a few large pot holes so care's needed when driving. Thank you for a fab break!

Super nice house directly at the sea. Quietly located and really a feel-good place. Everything you need was there. Communication with Lars was straightforward and fast. Roskilde and Copenhagen can be reached in about an hour. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you🙂

Superb in every aspect . We felt at ease totally relaxed the garden area is beautifully maintained with lovely seating just so so relaxing . Attention to detail with the added little extras made our romantic break perfect . Gil & Phil have a beautiful haven they made us feel valued & nothing was too much trouble . The massages were incredible … highly recommend all organised by Gil . Our Breakfast hamper was absolutely fantastic all fresh local produce we loved it . We will RETURN xx
