Earth house vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

This was our second stay at Linda's home and we had a great time. The house was cozy and clean and we felt right at home there. The fenced in yard and having access to the pond right out the back door was great for us and our dog. The location is great too in that it's close enough for southern NH and northern MA day trips. We had a great week - thanks Linda!

Davids house is a true gem and was quite a peaceful place to stay.

As so many others have said, this is more than just a place to stay. It's an incredible experience. The pictures capture some of the perfection of this cozy Hobbit Hole, but can't do justice to all of the thoughtful touches Cynthia and Pepper have included throughout. It's clear how much love and attention have gone into this home! This trip was a surprise for my husband's 40th birthday. We spent our time watching the Lord of the Rings, playing board games, and eating many meals. The cold and rainy weather, which prevented us from exploring more of the area, made our stay feel all the more cozy. Cynthia and Pepper were kind and responsive hosts, and they've set up some wonderful adventures around their property, including a Quest, Archery, and an indoor scavenger hunt that we loved doing. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and can't wait to come back again!

Everyrhing was as described and it was very peaceful. We did have to leave a day early for a emergency. But really wnjoyed out stay. Will definitely come back again next time we are explorimg the area.

This place is amazing! We had so much fun for 3 days away from the city. And this place is dog friendly so extra bonus! The hosts are super responsive. We misread that they provided salt so we didn’t bring any. The hosts kindly replied to us and brought us the salt we needed the next day. Definitely recommend this place!

David and Myla’ were the best host I have ever experienced. I love art, nature, spirit, and architecture. I had no idea how amazing our stay would turn out. One of the most amazing facets of this place is the flow of energy. David has brought fundamental symbolism to life. Each room is designed with purpose and unique features lined through art and mediaThe earth house is equatable to Falling Waters by Frank Lloyd Wright. Although this house is not famous yet on the same level because David wants the house to function in the spiritual nature of its design as the presence encourages people in their journey and on their path toward light, this most definitely will be a museum one day or known as the Labyrinth by Edgar Cayce in Virginia Beach It was an extreme blessing and honor that I was able to stay there. Stayed here for four days for a retreat after graduating college. Perfect getaway for one person. Beautiful home close to downtown Ithaca and lots of amazing hiking within reach as well as Cornell University. Exactly what I was looking for.

August 2024, 1 adult & 2 children , g9 b7, Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it rained everyday and was cold, we tried to make the most of it, but camping is a gamble for the weather. The place is very nice, peaceful and secluded. outside the cabin the temperature was about 13 degrees or less at night, but inside it was constantly 20 degrees and dry. we had access to drinkable water, bbq, plenty of free fire wood, showers , toilets. at the lake there is plenty of water toys and space. the lake is huge and it's very quiet. Marc who was on site for support was great, and stopped by each day to check we had everything we needed. thanks Marc.

Charming spot with everything we needed for a lovely weekend. Mark was super proactive and gave very clear directions to get to the lovely house.

We really enjoyed staying here. We were pleasantly surprised at the board games and other amenities in the cabin. the host was very accommodating and responded right away when we messaged. Honestly, this air bnb was above and beyond our expectations and was better than other air bnbs that we have stayed in before. We will definitely come back to stay here again if we are able to come back to Quebec some day

If you’re looking for a secluded area away from all the noise, this is the place! Katherine’s home was very peaceful and quiet. It was clean and I have no complaints at all. The WiFi was fast and my favorite part about this place is the projector. A great spot to watch movies! Katherine was a very responsive host and we felt right at home. I definitely recommend booking!

This was a lovely place to unwind, and be present in the moment. Whether it was the hammock when the weather was nice (or a walk on the property trail!) or a cozy fire when it was less-nice, it was a private spot to relax but close to the various state parks and Ithaca for activities!

The Hobbit House was exactly what we thought it would be- a peaceful retreat away from everything. It was a bit of a drive from everything, but well worth it! We went hiking at Shenandoah National Park and down to Charlottesville then back to the Hobbit House to play board games and read.
