Treehouse vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

The cottage on the lake is idyllic. Beautiful view, ideal location on the elevated lake. The path to get there in winter is a little sporty but it's good, travel light! The cottage is well-equipped, but bring your pillows for extra comfort. The mattresses are a little hard but camping so you can expect it. Super well equipped for cooking and above all very comfortable. We recommend it!

This stay was everything we wanted- relaxing, calm and a beautiful property. We did hikes near by and activities in the town. We really enjoyed exploring! I would love to come back!

Staying at the treehouse was such a unique experience! The treehouse actually has trees growing amongst the various decks and porches! There are so many windows with great views of the forest. I loved how cozy and clean it felt and we enjoyed all of the amenities (sauna, rain shower, hot tub bathtub). My kids enjoyed sleeping up in the loft. There are a lot of outdoor and screened in spaces that allowed us to spread out and relax. The gas fireplace is two sided and even heats one of the porches! I could see this being a nice place to stay in all seasons. Although the treehouse is not far (8 mins) from two substantial grocery stores, the site feels very private and peaceful. And MDI is so accessible as well. Thank you for sharing this memorable experience with us!

This place is really to cut off the soufle. The setting is splendid, we felt out of time, it's relaxing. We exchanged a few words with the welcome person who was very warm and generous. Listings are as sublime as each other. The access to the forest is a very pleasant little plus because the beach is splendid. The icing on the cake, the homes are eco-friendly. I would recommend it.

The cabin was just as described and was just what we needed for a getaway; quiet, private , and peaceful.

I sort of selfishly don't want to write this because I feel I found a secret gem in this place but they deserve your business so: FABULOUS in every way! Sheila and her crew are pro-level. I felt totally comfortable from the moment I booked until the moment I left. It is a magical space and they are lovely, lovely people. They were available, helpful and friendly but also gave us our space. It was a COLD, rainy May weekend but so unbelievable cozy and we still effortlessly had the best time. I am having trouble imagining a season that would not be perfect here. Would go back, 100%.

Stunning place!! Could not be more perfect for a cozy girls weekend away. So much to explore everything was super clean and owners were awesome, responsive and left super helpful instructions prior to our arrival. We all loved it! Will be back.

I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars because it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. It was the most incredible unique experience staying here and I would again in a heartbeat. I hope we get to come back soon to do some more high peak hiking. Such a beautiful rental, thank you Tyler and Emily for everything!!

The treehouse is beautiful! Decorated very well, very homey and comfortable too. Nice hot tub and bedding was very nice.

This treehouse was perfect for a little escape in the mountains. The property is beautiful and the house itself was very clean and surprisingly spacious!

Our family had such an amazing stay here we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoorsy and homey feel , so unique !

If you have any inclination for a retreat in the woods and a cozy, clean, minimalist space — this is the spot for you! Both the indoor and outdoor showers are luxurious. The bed was the best sleep we've had in ages. Even the yard furniture is comfortable. Not to mention the lovely hot tub! The surrounding nature is incredible. It's so quiet and beautiful, and the delight of the space can't be understated. The hosts were incredibly responsive — at one point, we couldn't figure out the outdoor lights, and they remotely helped us find and flip the appropriate breaker. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a unique place to celebrate our Anniversary. The tree house at Lambert Vineyards fit our needs and was within driving distance. This house is unique due to the loft bedroom, which has a spectacular and comfortable view. The weather did not cooperate, as it has always rained on our anniversary. We went down to the vineyard and talked with Shirley, who was very helpful with the wine selection and the story of the winery. The pavilion, attached to the winery, has a beautiful stone fireplace and rocking chairs to sit and relax on a dreary day. JB, the owner, greeted us, and we spoke at length about the area, the family business, and the restaurants available. We went to Thyme Bistro in Weston, WV, for dinner the first night, and the food and atmosphere were incredible. A great find. For our anniversary dinner, we chose to drive 1/2 hour away to Clarksburg, WV, to The Wonder Bar Steakhouse. This is a hidden gem and should be experienced by all. First rate...

We stayed at the Treehouse because we wanted a peaceful little get away and it was perfect! The place was clean, quiet and just like the photos. Eddie was great with getting right back to me with any questions we had and making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying in the Treehouse. Such a cool experience! We will definitely be back.

This is our second time here and it didn’t disappoint! We absolutely love the tree house and felt right at home! It was warm when we needed to turn the heat on, shower was perfect, and the water pressure inside the bathroom/shower is extremely strong. I highly recommend it here and we will absolutely be back!

Absolutely loved our stay. We booked for a relaxing Pre-Bachelorette for our bride best friend to relax and de-stress before her wedding and this place was beyond perfect. Stainless steel counters and cookware, wonderful artwork, and a beautiful cabin surrounded by nature. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place.

Great place to stay after hiking Ricketts Glen. The Airbnb is gorgeous and cozy. Love having coffee in the morning - and there’s also a selection of board games. Beds are on the upper loft, if you are mobility-challenged, the stairs will be a challenge due to the narrowness. However, there is a railing that can be used for guidance while going up and down the stairs. Very unique and amazing place to stay!

Absolutely magical!!! My partner and I stayed at Rik’s this weekend and had the most beautiful and relaxing time at his treehouse. The photos really don’t do the place justice - Rik’s creativity and craftsmanship in these 2 treehouses is absolutely amazing. It’s like staying in a human sized fairy house!! Walking around the property gives you a wonderful feeling of peace and really connects you with the natural surroundings and wildlife. We highly recommend coming here if you want to relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Our only regret is actually planning activities during the day instead of spending our days at Rik’s. We’re already planning on returning and making the most of the quiet retreat he’s created.
