House vacation rentals in North East

This beautiful property has a special place in our hearts. We stayed in the A frame during COVID and we always wanted to come back. This time we stayed in the main house and it was phenomenal. Wish the weather was better for us to use the pool, but next time! It well worth the price. Only an hr from the city and it feels like a full vacation. Wonderful way to lose time time for a few days. We will be back!

This is a lovely house very close to New Paltz. We had a nice long weekend with the kids and loved spending time in the pool. Susan was a great host. No complaints!

The teahouse and surroundings were relaxing and peaceful. We saw groundhogs, deer, and chipmunks from the porch and our 2 dogs loved exploring the field and wandering in the nearby woods. The pool was amazing and warm despite the rain and the natural landscaping couldn’t have been more beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

Still gleaming from an unforgettable stay at Willow Vale which is hands down a 5-star gem! The design of the house is one-of-kind where every detail piques curiosity and wonder. The library stole our hearts from the start, brimming with an extensive book collection and unique treasures. We sat by the fire here every night. The sunroom was the perfect daytime spot where we napped, worked, ate and played games. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the kitchen…we cooked almost every meal. Enjoying the hot tub under the stars was a highlight. We loved that there was a telescope and took advantage of it. The river was serene with a perfect swimming hole…and cold plunge! The house is secluded and there is so much to do nearby. It’s truly the land of hidden gems. Stissing House for dinner is a MUST. As their home might suggest, Matt and Whitney go above and beyond as hosts. They made this family vacation special for us in every possible way. We cannot wait to return!!!

The house was even more beautiful and quaint than the photos. The weather was a bit chilly and they made sure the heat was on prior to our arrival. Caring, responsive, and helpful hosts. Definitely recommend.

Great location, walkable and bikable to town, and easy access to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. The house was immaculate and a great size for our family (two adults and two kids 9 and 12). We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Samantha & Kellen were amazing hosts and their place was so lovely!!! The house was even better than the photos - everything was clean, amenities were great, kitchen was well-stocked w/ tons of plates/cups/pots/pans, and most of all, the view was breathtaking - all you see is mountains and trees!! Can't think of anything that could've been improved! As the house is in the mountains & we went during a particularly high-tick season after lots of rain, our dog picked up a decent amount of ticks walking outside the property. Samantha & Kellen were super responsive and helpful, and went out of their way to get the tick sprayer & lawn mowers come out during our week-long stay. Would love to come back!!!

Beautiful house with lots of greenery — very peaceful and relaxing. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus. The host was fantastic: easy to communicate with and very understanding. The weather wasn’t ideal, but everything else was great. Would definitely love to visit again!

This was my family's second time staying at Jennifer's home, and we will be back again soon! The moment you step you, you feel you're in a serene getaway in a lovely cottage. Our host met every need and went above and beyond on flexibility. This is such a gem in Salisbury!

We had the absolute best stay at Jeanie’s home! It was beautiful, spacious, and so well decorated, and the property couldn’t be more peaceful. The chickens and ducks in the backyard were so fun to watch, and really made the stay so magical. Jeanie was so helpful too, with lots of local recommendations and made our whole trip so easy! The house oozes with charm and character, and we couldn’t have loved it more!

We were in the area for our son’s graduation. It was the perfect place to stay as a family for a few days. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and very charming cottage. The upper/main floor has clearly been recently re-done and is very nicely laid out/staged. The babbling brook just outside makes for quite a wonderful setting and with the door open/screen closed you get the nice sound of the water. The downstairs (sleeping area) is more functional and a touch musty, but plenty comfortable and fit for sleeping. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, good light, etc. The owners note the spiral staircase in the description but I was not prepared for how much our toddlers would try and dive off it. Word of warning for those w/ small children! Overall, would definitely stay again due to the great vibe and awesome setting for relaxation.

We've been traveling to the Hudson Valley area a few times a year and Katie's house is by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in! We had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived just after 5pm - perfect for a little happy hour upon arrival! The house had everything we needed for our family of four, including some kids toys and books. My son loved all the cozy throw blankets on every sofa and we all loved the outdoor swings. The furniture was comfortable and the house was spacious. We loved looking out the windows to a mountain view. We plan to come back in the future. Thank you, Katie!

Absolutely beautiful. Private. Peaceful. Well maintained and artistic home. I had my family there for my daughter's graduation weekend. Felt like home. I especially loved the kitchen set up.
