Perfect stay!

The place was spectacular and was very well maintained and clean. The breakfast provided was sumptuous and plentiful. On the whole was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

Spacious, clean apartment, nothing missing. Feel at home. Very welcoming, helpful, friendly hosts. In small quiet village, not far from Douro, and 20 minutes from Porto by car.

I was very well received in Oia. The house is great, with an incredible view. I spent hours looking at the sea. I cooked my food, washed my clothes and had complete privacy. Sandra kindly picked me up at the monastery. I recommend it!

Carlos is a great host. We had a great 4-day vacation with e-bike trips through the beautiful surroundings. E-bikes is a must. A superb place to spend time at. The location of the Villa is fantastic once you reach it via the steep hills. Magnificent view and very well organised. Good service and breakfast. Totally recommended!

This is a very special find on Air BnB. In a private location, very well equipped, extremely clean, modern, comfortable and pet friendly. Tiago and his family went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I was there during the electricity blackout of Spain and Portugal and they even though to bring me a torch! I highly recommend this property, I’ll be back!!

Fernando was always there for us, but also left us very private, the house was nice, bedrooms fine, and a very nice garden. in the morning there were fresh rolls, and the house was well equipped. We felt very welcome and had a good week.

Peace by the water (at the end of the world) The accommodation could only be found after a telephone inquiry, although there are only a few buildings in the village. This is VERY secluded, if you want to stay longer, you should shop well. It only had two cafes and one (closed) restaurant there. The nearest shop is about a 1/2 hour drive away. However, it would also be possible to travel by train. However, it is fantastically beautiful right on the river and the traffic on ships, trains and cars can almost be counted. I particularly liked the surroundings with the many flowers, the access to the water and the many seating and lounging options outdoors, both in the shade and in the sun. If you want to take a boat trip, you don't need to drive away, the host also does such. You can also rent boats from him, tips for fishing were also provided. The accommodation is worth its price, is well equipped and has parking in the shade. Thank you to everyone

Perfect stay! Excellent location, lovely apartment w a great view, amazing breakfast and friendly host. We came w out baby and not only did they provide a crib but also a baby bath and high chair. Will be back!

Dino and Inès's place is stunning - very stylish and comfortable. The apartment has everything you could wish for! I was greeted at the place by Dino who gave me a wealth of useful suggestions of what to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again if available when I return to Porto.

This was a perfect location to enjoy Porto. Right on the river with a view of the bridge. The apartment was wonderful, clean, well appointed and decorated. We would stay here again!

Ana was a great host, the apartment was fully stocked and had so many special additions, like meat, cheese, and bread, fruit, eggs, and other breakfast foods in the pantry. Fresh bread on the door in the morning!! Wine in the refrigerator😃 Pinhao is great to explore and be a homebase. It was wonderful to relax on the balcony and play cards in the living room after a long day of fun.

An amazing experience staying with Jean in Porto - if you’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay, take it! The apartment is immaculate, and thoughtfully designed. It blends the historical stonework of Porto, with a tasteful contemporary finish. The result is a peaceful residence - the perfect place to rest as you explore Porto (which is all within walking distance!). To cap it off, Jean himself re-defines what it means to be a host. During my stay in Porto, there was no ask too big. He went over and above in ensuring I felt welcome and comfortable, arranging reservations, and providing some excellent recommendations for things to see and Porto. He was easy to communicate with, making check-in / check-out a breeze. Highly recommended!

I spent two magnificent days with my family at Casa dos Vinhais. The host, José, is very nice, attentive and helpful and we were optimally received by him. The house is really special with the family's antique furniture and crockery with the very nice living room and the very beloved bedrooms. Here you sit and breathe the story. The view from the house to the Douro River is beautiful and we could not take advantage to bathe in the river but, in the warmer months, it would be possible to enjoy the outside well. We can ask to make dinner at home and the cod with cream and the alheira prepared by José e Graça was divine. In addition, the small Almoco is included in the stay and is really delicious! I hope to return here again to this home. Thank you for everything!

Quinta da Xandica, located just outside of Valença do Douro village, was a fantastic, and unique experience. It’s rare these days to find an Airbnb hosted by a “real” (boots on the ground) host who is not only there to share local knowledge and accommodates your needs, but literally who also welcomes you in to the ACTUAL family home. It reminded me of a traditional bed and breakfast, in all of the best ways. (Including a lovely breakfast in a dining room!!!) The Quinta was home to Matilde”s great grandfather, and is shared today with her grandmother and father (three generations). It’s a working farm, and an all around charming, beautiful place. Even during our unseasonably rainy visit, the grounds and area was stunning. Practically speaking, the bed was comfortable & the water hot. Dinner made by Matilde was a reasonably priced and delicious with estate wine. We also thoroughly interaction with other guests, the chipped dog, “Bill”, and access to the surrounding area. A treasure!

My parents and I had a great stay. The apartment was spotless and recently renovated. The best thing, without a doubt, was the staff: all super attentive and friendly. Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park

A really lovely room just like the photos. The family were all very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and looked after our bags on our last day .We had a fantastic meal one evening in their restaurant, not to be missed . The only down side was it’s a reasonable walk to the old town of Porto but if you don’t mind that it’s a lovely place to stay

Lugar da Pedra Altra is a very special place, the host were very helpful and we had a very memorable holiday. We stayed there as a group of eight, two families and we had enough space, and the breakfast that they supplied was very enjoyable. We would look to visit again in the future

Amazing 400 year old home, has always been in the family. The outside garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful. Small town near by with good quaint restaurants . About one hour from Douro Valley by a beautiful drive through back country roads. Highly recommend it
