Beautiful apartment in the heart of Porto. Plenty of space, amazing windows with beautiful views, and easy to get around. If the hustle and bustle is not your thing, would not recommend this, but it was perfect for what I was looking for as a solo traveler. Pristine, homey, and communicating with John was a breeze.

Accommodation as described, well-equipped, great location, close to the historic center, very quiet. We really enjoyed the exchanges with Luis and all the advice available to us. We highly recommend this listing.

We had a wonderful time staying at Eduardo and Patricia's place. We arrived early in Porto after our transatlantic flight, and they had the place clean and ready for us by 13h. Patricia personally welcomed us and gave a bunch of recommendations for the area. We appreciated this hospitality. The bed was very comfortable (futon-like queen mattress) and the air conditioner and shower worked well. The location is perfect. 10-15 minute walk to all the Porto highlights, so we were easily able to stop back at the apartment for a water refill or bathroom break during our sightseeing. It's a central location but this section of the street has no bars or restaurants so it's pretty quiet at night. We would stay here again on our next visit!

Really nice place to stay

The accommodation is perfectly located 2 steps from a metro station, the center of Porto is also within walking distance with a little more patience There are very close and very convenient stores Everything is as in the photos, everything was very clean and it is great value for money given the location, very convenient and nicely decorated accommodation The only negative points we found would be that the water flow is quite low around noon, but not during the other hours of the day, and also that the kitchen lacked a few utensils (there is a frying pan and a saucepan) which ultimately did not bother us too much Air conditioning in the bedroom works well It's very nice to eat on the terrace, which is a real plus! Note that on arrival a small bottle of port was waiting for us, which was very pleasant, thank you! We would recommend it without hesitation to discover Porto

Great apartment 1 minute walk to the train station and a major bus stop. Ana is a great host and has a great place for a beer and to meet new friends along the way. Had hostel vibes with the amount of *optional* interaction we had with some locals and friends of Ana’s without having to share a bathroom or anything else with anyone else. We would definitely book Ana’s place again if we ever make it back to Porto.

Andre is incredibly kind and helpful. We got lost getting to the Airbnb from the airport and he was quick to respond with clear directions to use. The location is great. It’s right beside a great cafe, in front of a metro stop, and close to everything we wanted to walk to.

The roof top patio was perfect resting place to relax & view the city in the evening as well as start the morning organizing our day!

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

I was very well received by Marta, who showed me the house and left food for my first breakfast, including homemade jam and fruit from the orchard. The location of Casa da Eira is fantastic, with beautiful views over the bay of the Douro river, a large patio with the same view and right next to the pool. The infinity pool is stunning with a view of the river and is large. The entire property is very well cared for with gardens and fruit tree plantations; the size of the property provides walking tours and nooks to rest without leaving the place. The house itself has all the amenities and is very comfortable, with a covered balcony that gives you the feeling of being in a tree house. Marta's kindness (who even offered me plums from the farm's production), the location and amenities, make this accommodation an ideal retreat for true rest, whether you go alone or as a family. I'll be back.

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

From the first moment, communication with Rita was impeccable. I am very grateful for the friendliness of both Rita and Luís, and the way they made us feel at home. It was a weekend in a location that is pure peace and quiet, in a house equipped with everything we could possibly need, cozy and comfortable. In the future, we hope to go back! ☺️

We love these types of cottages. a great garden with swimming pool. We did not take advantage of that. However, the stove is fired in the evening.

We chose this place, for the price and proximity to the suburban train, to be able to go to the center of Porto without the car. Without the train strike, it would have been perfect, a 25 minute walk and we were there. As for hosts, communication is easy in English, they are kind and offers us things to see according to our needs. Thank you for everything.

We really liked it. The photos match reality. Alexandra responded promptly to all requests. A beautiful, quiet countryside area, close to a river beach. Oliveira's house is impeccable, it reflects good taste, cleanliness, the bed is well made. We'll be back for sure.

We had an unforgettable week, and I can’t recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting and views of the river. The highlight for us was definitely the infinity pool it overlooked the river and the kids spent hours in it We took full advantage of the paddleboards and kayaks provided. The river was calm and we paddled out most afternoons/evenings when it was a bit cooler. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering great tips on boat trips and vineyards to explore. Thank you for letting us stay and hoping to visit again next year

Luis, a very nice guy, was always attentive to my arrival. He told me everything very kindly, and a charming apartment, easy to get to, a spectacular apartment and a 10-star host, highly recommended

The apartment is spectacular, with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room with television and a fairly spacious bedroom. The location is perfect and with very nice views of the spa, I recommend it

We were happy to stay outside of the lot of noise from the street all night. The apartment is missing an electric kettle, which would make it easier to boil water. The contact with the host is efficient, he prepared an apartment that was clean. Extra linens, a set of towels for everyone. There was also an extra electric heater that could be turned on on cold nights, however, it can't be used at the same time with the dryer as the traffic jams in the apartment are getting out. An apartment equipped with everything you need except for a kettle. Accessible location next to bus stop. I recommend staying in an apartment.

Rosario is a great host. The place is clean and well equipped. In addition, the location is great: very close to the beach and good restaurants. I only can recommend it. Will certainly return.

The truth is that everything is great, the apartment is amazing, very large, clean, the beds are super comfortable, since I find it hard to sleep outside the house, and in a beautiful place. Besides, it had a lot of games for if you bring kids and it rains. Come on, we loved it

Beautiful and central apartment, with many details, spacious, clean. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with sofa bed, fits 6.

The apartment is lovely and spacious. Has everything you need. The town is lovely, and the people in it are very friendly. The highlights were the Irish pub right next door and the blue hut on the beach which had amazing live music. The beach was very quiet and peaceful. This was a great deal!

Recommended accommodation, total tranquility, mountain views from the room, green, nature, accommodation without noise, the windows and doors made the room completely dark to sleep without the light, bathroom in perfect condition , perfect kitchen and equipped. Heating, stove and AC. The owner Roberto, a trusted person who makes you feel at home, informs you of everything you can visit in Mondariz and surroundings: routes, river beach, restaurants, markets... Roberto is always available for everything we need , very grateful for the proximity and the concern at all times he has had. We were very comfortable with Roberto and the Accommodation, we will repeat for sure.
