The Old Donkey – Terrace Suite, Garden View

CASA BRAVA is an eco Guest House set in an old farmhouse, 5 minutes from the historic center of Loulé and 20 minutes from the coast and Faro airport. A place where tranquility and accessibility meet. Three independent suites with private gardens and terraces. Stay in the former donkey dormitory, renovated in stone with private facilities. In 2026, breakfast is replaced by a gourmet welcome basket. Wild nature and a natural pool for a unique Algarve experience.

Historic paneled suite has a double bed as well as an adjoining private study with a single bed, a desk with an office chair, and a fridge. Bedroom includes chairs, a table and fireplace, and opens to the private study and shared bath. Rooms are furnished with antiques. Lots of outside seating and gardens are always available weather permitting. We are featured yearly on a local garden tour. Breakfast is provided in our gardens or kitchen if desired.

Built in 1902 and restored in 1988, we have tried to maintain the authenticity of a working Vermont farmhouse. Thus, the name of the farm is Antiquity Acres. Here you will find a quiet place to rest, away from noise, but minutes to Stowe on a beautiful, dead-end road with picturesque views. A private working horse farm sitting on 90 acres of open pastoral land with mountain views, complete with 2 spring-fed swimming ponds and walking trails.

Convenient to all of the Hamptons, Sag Harbor has an amazing harbor, fabulous restaurants, cool mom-and-pop shops, and a quaint New England vibe. The Victorian Room at Parkside Retreat—a quiet, peaceful retreat just 3 miles from the bay and 5 miles from the oceanfront, without all the beach noise! Five minutes from I-264 in NE Virginia Beach. Huge back yard adjacent to park. We are very much like a classic bed and breakfast, just without the breakfast. The Windy Top Cottage is an old stone building constructed in 1932 by H. L. Bitter, a wealthy Hartford businessman. This area of Granby was a favorite of the Hartford elite for a place to 'summer' in the early part of the 20th Century. The cottage was the quarters for the domestic staff while the family was in North Granby. With an elevation of 970, we offer clean, fresh country air!
