Go from sintra about 12 km to Magoito beach (Praia do Magoito). When you arrive in Magoito go all the way down to the beach and pass the fortress by the sea. Turn right and you will see the last two white houses. You're there! A former Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage in a spectacular remote location on the Isle of Mull. Built by the Stevensons in 1857, Rubha nan Gall Keeper's Cottage has been completely renovated and now offers a comfortable home for up to 6 guests from which to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and abundant wildlife. Access is via a coastal footpath, a 25 min walk from Tobermory and there is NO vehicle access. The cottage is off-grid, but solar panels, a spring and WiFi mean you probably won’t notice.

A small, comfortable historic refuge for two people attached to the Cap-Chat Lighthouse. You will stay where the substitute lighthouse keeper lived to give the main lighthouse keeper a break, at the time when the weight used to rotate the lighthouse prism had to be reassembled every three hours.
