Vacation rentals with a kayak in Norfolk

I cannot say enough good things about this Airbnb! It really was above and beyond what we hoped for. You immediately feel as if you are staying in a high-end, but also cozy place. There was so much space for everyone to comfortably hang out. From starting the day on the screened in porch with coffee and reading, to playing games at the big dining room table to laying by the pool and grilling out, we could not have asked for more! They have everything you could need and more, which is a lot coming from our family who likes to cook a lot and is active! Would absolutely stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this place. If you’re considering it… You won’t regret it!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. It was clean, spacious, and very well maintained—perfect for gathering with family. The beds were comfortable, and the overall ambiance made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. A small note for future guests: while the house is overall well-equipped, a few basic essentials like hand soap, salt, pepper, cooking oil, and coffee filters weren’t provided, so you may want to bring those along. That said, the hosts were friendly and responsive, and we appreciated the care they’ve put into the home. Would definitely recommend the space and stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Great Escape. The home was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The amenities were perfect and the beach is just a short walk with easy access. Cody was a wonderful host with quick responses. Thank you for sharing your home. We made wondrful memories in Virgina Beach.

Arrived at the home a little later than expected, so it was dark and unable to see the exterior. Just looking at the front, I thought the home was small. Entered into the home and OMG- it's huge! The home can fit a whole football team and more. It was very spacious, the inside was well lit and there were proper signs in the house for emergency purposes. My family was was able to relax peacefully, the kids had so much fun with the board games and puzzles present. Hide and seek was great per the kids- so much space to hide in. As describe in the posting, Paula mentioned there are basic necessities to get started but there was more than what was needed. We didn't get to go to the beach, legit 5 minute walk across the street due to other festivities planned but it's right there! Please do not hesitate to book. Paula is very responsive and it was just great home.

What friendly and communicative hosts. The house was so peaceful and in a great location close to everything. Hosts go above and beyond and made us breakfast one morning. It was delicious and much appreciated. Pool was clean and our kids enjoyed spending time in it all week. House was as advertised and made for a relaxing and spacious home away from home. Quiet street and a few miles from everything you may want to do or need for your time away. Thank you for hosting us!

Perfect stay for Sandbridge getaway. house had everything to make our group feel at home and entertained. we had family from 6months to 60+ and no one went without. There are games, activities, fantastic views, well appointed rooms, and close to the beach. You feel at home and we appreciated Kevin and his family sharing a slice of heaven with our family. Kevin was super responsive. Couldn't recommend more!!!!

This was my second stay at Kathy’s and it was great. The location is perfect. Within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and a local brewery. And the fenced in yard was perfect for my pups.

This place was the most charming airbnb I have ever stayed in. Badria and Jay made every detail of our stay perfect with all of their extra touches, including saltwater taffy and a box of croissants, slippers and a lavender mask, and a fully stocked coffee station with syrups. We instantly felt at home and in vacation mode at their place and literally laid out on the dock the entire time. A perfect spot for kayaking, laying out in the sun, and I even brought out my mat and did some yoga on the dock. The views were unreal. The couch was so comfortable I accidentally fell asleep there the whole night and woke up to the gorgeous window views. Amazing hosts and location!

We loved staying here! The location was great and it was roomy. Super close to the beach, great outdoor amenities, and a nice porch. Host was quick to respond. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves, it was like a private getaway! There were a few cons: very noisy upstairs guests (I know this can’t be helped, but it was bad,) the parking spaces were EXTREMELY tight and one of the guests kept parking in 2 spaces instead of one. There was a narrow gravel driveway offered, but if someone parked behind you then you couldn’t leave. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough to watch tv, we had to keep pausing it so it would load a little. All in all it was a great deal and would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed the stay. Comfy beds with wonderful cotton linens. Cute interior. Nice, quiet off season experience. John’s recommendations for smaller local favorite restaurants were good choices. Nearby recreation centers offer day passes and lots of indoor activities for cold or rainy days. Just right for our family trip. Highly recommend.

Beautiful private beach access, with multiple things to do in the area, fabulous restaurants and shops. Easy drive to Virginia Beach boardwalk. Location is safe, friendly and with all the amenities you need to enjoy a perfect beach vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at Poseidon. The carriage house was perfect for us, and had everything we needed for our vacation. We appreciated having the chairs and umbrellas so we didn’t have to bring our own. We’d definitely love to come and stay again.
