Relaxing Fishing Cabin

This place was quiet and beautiful. Very comfortable and well kept Host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. Fished right off the back yard and caught a large mouth bass. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Sonnemann Cabin

KenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We fell in love the moment we stepped inside. Definitely not for the hotel with the pool set, but was exactly what we wanted - a rustic log cabin from the historic past. It is set in the woods and wrapped with vines giving it a storybook feel. Paths are mowed through the woods to allow unobstructed walks surrounded by towering hickory trees and thousands of flowers. We will be back. Maybe again this summer, but for sure next spring when the dogwood trees and flowers are in full bloom. Thank you Bill, for making your cabin available. We would like to meet you next time to learn more about the history of the property.

The Haffner House

JoyceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Theh Haffner house is directly across the street from our childhood home so we know the neighborhood well and enjoyed being back. The house is cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed along with some wonderful history Kelly's aunt and uncle who were our neighbors growing up. Love staying there and look forward to staying again .

The Bin at No Bad Days farm

JacquelyneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Memorial Day weekend brought a spontaneous getaway. Its proximity to Lake Shelbyville allowed us to pack our fishing gear and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. The first day on the lake was incredible, with an abundance of exciting catches. Afterward, we checked into our cozy rental, which felt like a warm embrace. The decor, inspired by the parable of the lost sheep, radiated love and care, reflecting the owners' dedication to creating a haven in memory of their son. Every detail, from the Christian books to the freshly ground coffee, showcased their labor of love. The property was breathtaking, boasting its own lake, picturesque red barns, and adorable babydoll sheep and chickens. This enchanting retreat offered the perfect setting to unwind and recharge. We even savored local cuisine at the Long Branch Grill which exceeded our expectations. We will definitely keep The Grain Bin in mind next trip to Shelbyville. It was immaculate, peaceful, and very convenient. Wonderful experience!!
