Our apartment is located in the beautiful village of Niederkappel, up in the heights of the Mühlviertel right behind the Danube Valley between Passau and Linz. Important information for bikers traveling on the Danube cycle path: From the Danube banks (Obermühl) it's a 3km steep, exhausting climb up to Niederkappel. If you are fit enough for that, you are very welcome to stay at our place. The views down onto the Danube will compensate for the efforts.

Small but nice with a view of the Danube

The small room is partly furnished with antiques and is located in the old ship's post office of 1805 opposite the castle, with an interesting museum directly on the Danube. The garden can be used by our guests. Danube bike path leads past the house, in addition to the usual bus connection, there is also the possibility to transfer to Austria by ferry or to drive to Linz or Passau by steamer.

Linda always thought ahead and fulfilled the wishes before they arose. The communication was not only very friendly and personal, but above all proactive. When you enter the apartment, you never have the impression of living in the basement. Super spacious and lovingly designed. Everything you need for a few days in the Passau outback is available. The apartment is absolutely quiet and super clean. In addition to the good value for money, you also get personal communication with Linda. I'd love to come back.

We spent a few days here over New Year's Eve and felt very comfortable. The place was clean, well equipped and cozy – just right to spend a relaxing time. The apartment was in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Although quite far from the centre, the trams go every 2-3 minutes, so it wasn’t that big of a problem. The apartment has all the facilities you need. Gertrude is alsp very helpful and nice :))

Nice, relatively new place. The bathroom is very nice and sufficiently large. The apartment is really very small, but the balcony gives you no cramping feeling. The view over the Eidlauf pond is very nice. It's just minutes to the city. Filter coffee machine is available. I would prefer a capsule machine The pull-out sofa bed is fine. At my request, a swivel chair was brought to me. Thanks again for that! In Rohrbach and surroundings there are many nice people. Recommended: Burns, B34 and city cafe. Pizza at Jimmy. Tierpark in Altenfelden.

"Fly Away"

The stay was great, everything was as described. Check-in with key box perfect. There was everything you need for a relaxing stay and more. In the kitchen, spices, etc. Really great. For the balcony, seat cushions and blankets. Candles for the evening to sit comfortably. We even found games in the closet. The location was great with the view of the Danube, also quiet and yet well located for activities. Free parking is available, which is often important. Can highly recommend and will remain in our memory.

The conservatory with the fireplace is fantastic. Thank you for inviting me to the thermal bath, I enjoyed the evening very much. I'll be back with you on the next business trip in 2026. The apartment was very well furnished, the kitchen was well equipped, only an oven was missing. The bathroom was large and very clean! Maybe you could hang a few hooks in the apartment and also in the bathroom to, for example, let the wet towels dry. But otherwise everything was wonderful!
